April 27, 2014 Divine Mercy Sunday
Jesus, who of us are worthy of Your Divine Mercy?
Who of us are worthy of Your love, no less Your mercy.
Yet, this is what You have decreed through Your church that we look
upon Your Merciful Heart and see Your rays of love and forgiveness that
we see within Your eyes understanding and within Your outstretched hands
Your call to come and be loved.
Oh Christ, as we struggle with our humanity it is so hard for us to
accept the fact that You love us for no other reason except---- You
love us.
Christ, open us up to accept Your unconditional love and grow into
loving not only ourselves, but also all those You put into our lives.
Jesus, let us be lovers of Yours in loving others.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body

Sunday OUT OF ORDER?

The brethren "devoted themselves to the apostles' instruction and the communal life, to the
breaking of bread and the prayers." -Acts 2:42
"In the first community of Jerusalem, believers 'devoted themselves to the apostles'
teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and the prayers.' This sequence is
characteristic of the Church's prayer" (Catechism, 2624, emphasis added). The four aspects
of Acts 2:42 are sequential, at least in the context of prayer. This means that our prayers
must be based on the greatest prayer, the breaking of the bread, that is, the Eucharist.
Furthermore, the Eucharist will be a far cry from what the Lord wants it to be if not
celebrated in the context of communal life. The breakdown of Christian community in our
secular humanistic society accounts for much of the lukewarmness in our Eucharists. However,
we will be imprisoned by our cultural blindspots and refuse Christian community until we
take on the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) by devoting ourselves to the apostles' instruction
through the Church's teachings and the Bible (Acts 2:42). Finally, without the Holy Spirit,
we will never devote ourselves to the apostles' instruction, the communal life, or the
Christian life.
We are out of order. The conditions of our lives, Eucharists, and prayers show that
something's wrong. However, the risen Christ is breathing on each of us now. Jesus commands
us: "Receive the Holy Spirit" (Jn 20:22). The Spirit alone can put our lives in order. Come,
Holy Spirit!
Prayer: "My Lord and my God!" (Jn 20:28) Lord Jesus, mercy.
Promise: "His mercy endures forever." -Ps 118:2, 4
Praise: "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He Who in His great mercy
gave us new birth; a birth unto hope which draws its life from the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead" (1 Pt 1:3). Alleluia forever!

abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most
dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I
cried out: 'Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will.' For them, the last
hope of salvation is to run to My mercy." Most compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion
Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this
fire of Your pure love, let these tepid souls who, like corpses, filled You with such deep
loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of
Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow upon them the gift of
holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.

My Heavenly Father, I need Your help financially and I need wisdom of Your word. Wisdom, I
have trouble understanding so much of the bible. I want to be able to remember chapters and
verses so I can remember them and tell those in distress things that would console them. My
memory is starting to fail a little and I pray You allow me to get no worse. Financially, I
love my husband and we are in need of help. He works so hard and we help others whenever we
can but we would love to be able to wake up and no longer worry about bills and for he and
I to take a vacation. We don't take them, we can't afford them. We're in our 60's and would
love just he and I to travel and see this beautiful country while we can. We want to put
our grandchildren through college. I do believe that You will help us. I have always put my
faith in You. But sometimes I feel guilty for asking for things. If it be Your will my Lord
we could really use Your help. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I am believing that You have set G on the right path. I know he's not
going to finish this semester but You brought him to a place to where he has found a job. I
worry about the court date my Lord. I'm no saint but I pray each day for this kid. You know
he never meant for the things to go wrong that day. He's hurting and knows he has to pay
for it but I pray that all he gets is probation and no jail time. He shouldn't have been
drinking and shouldn't have been texting but thank You Father that the only things hurt was
the car and no one else was hurt, not even him. I know You were with him. Please let them
go easy on him and please don't let the alcohol level have been bad. We cannot afford an
attorney or a lot of court costs and his mother turned her back on him. Please In Jesus
name I pray for help and peace for them all.

Still believing my Father that You will heal my family of all the hurt and anger. We don't
talk because of how one wants to do the talking and not allow anyone else to say their peace.
She is a good person at heart but has her problems with how she treats people and how she
thinks she should be treated. Please heal her Father and bring to her a true good man of
God to walk through life with. The one we thought was the one finally broke down and showed
his true colors, however she is as selfish as he. Father bless the kids and allow them to
soon be able to be together as a family should be without the interference of this man. Our
family needs You my Lord. If it be Your will, please heal each of us. In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
