May 4th Third Sunday of Easter
Jesus, Easter and Divine Mercy Sundays have passed, and now we are back
to the daily ways of life.
But Jesus, in You there isn't any ordinary ways of life.
We are called to be new creations, we are called to be on fire with love
for You and graced to help others.
Jesus, never let us feel ordinary, but let us feel as new vessals of
love, joy and peace.
Lord, let us spread Your love to others, by how we live.
Lord, let us draw others to You by our examples of love, joy and peace.
Jesus, remind us that we are pilgrims on a journey through life that is
leading us to Your heavenly home.
Let us not be so concerned and worried, about the pressures of life,
but, see Your love and help in all situations.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday SUNDAY AFTERNOONS

"Were not our hearts burning inside us as He talked to us on the road and explained the
Scriptures to us?" -Luke 24:32
On the afternoon of His resurrection, Jesus walked about seven miles with two of His
disciples and "interpreted for them every passage of Scripture which referred to Him"
(Lk 24:27). He did this even though His last three years of teaching the apostles seemed
ineffective, for they had abandoned Him when He was executed. As Jesus taught His two
disciples, their hearts were burning and being purified (Lk 24:32). That evening of His
resurrection, Jesus continued His ministry of teaching by opening the apostles' minds to
the understanding of the Scriptures (Lk 24:45). Jesus' teaching of the Scriptures eventually
bore fruit at Pentecost.
Seven Sundays after the Sunday of Jesus' resurrection, Peter spent Sunday afternoon as Jesus
had done on the Sunday of His resurrection. Peter preached God's Word from Joel 3, Psalm 16,
and Psalm 110 (Acts 2:17, 25, 34). Hearts were burning, minds were opening, and the Church
was being born.
The Church continues this pattern to the present day. As God's Word is proclaimed, we
recognize the risen Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit. Abide in God's Word (Jn 8:31).
Witness for the risen Jesus (Acts 2:32). Receive new Pentecosts.
Prayer: Father, Your Word is more precious to me than thousands of dollars (see Ps 119:72).
Promise: "In prayer you call upon a Father Who judges each one justly on the basis of his
actions. Since this is so, conduct yourselves reverently during your sojourn in a strange
land." -1 Pt 1:17
Praise: "You will show me the path to life, fullness of joys in Your presence, the
delights at Your right hand forever" (Ps 16:11). Alleluia!

Please pray that we both can retire very soon and are financially secure and physically
healthy so that we can improve our home, yard, etc. as well as to keep up with the expected
and unexpected bills, share time with our relatives and friends, some of which are elderly
or in ill health, maybe enjoy some short trips and enjoy the beauty of God's world at a
slower pace. Please pray that we remain safe and healthy, get good reviews and raises,
especially my wife who has rheumatoid arthritis along with other ailments but works long
and hard every day. Please pray that we travel safely and accident free and financially
stay ahead of our bills. Please pray that we can afford to do our remodeling & repairs &
replacements & still have money to enjoy life even just a little & save a little for our
retirement. Pray for our investments to flourish.

with my wife and two teenage children. Since a year now i experience many problems and most
severe ones are that of acidity, ulcers in stomach and insomnia. Please do pray for me (I

Gracy from wadala mumbai who was under medication for long time for psychiatric problem,
got tired of it and stopped taking d medicines, now she is expressing strong anger and
hatred towards her mother, blaming her for doing some black magic on her, refusing to take
food ( has not eaten since last 15 days) except some fruit since last two days. Please pray
for her, her mother is desperate.

Thank you for your prayer support. The doctor has now been able to detect the reason for my
husband's blurred vision and has suggested corrective action and stopping certain
medication. We believe that the Lord is touching his eyes and he will soon be able to see
and read perfectly well.

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
