August 10th 19th Sunday in ordinary time.
This week, oh! Christ, Your church celebrates the assumption
of the blessed virgin Mary into Your eternal kingdom.
Christ, what a fitting end to Mary's life that right after
death, she was assumed into Your heavenly kingdom, body
and soul.
Jesus, help us to have that love for Mary, our mother, that
You have.
Help us to intercede to her as a very strong mediator to You
for all the needs that we have.
Jesus, You gave us Mary as an example of what trust in You
can cause.
She was full of grace and love.
Jesus, continue to shower down on us some of that grace, so
that we can trust You all the days of our life.
Thank you Jesus.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday GOD IS WHISPERING TO YOU

"After the earthquake there was fire - but the Lord was not in the
fire. After the fire there was a tiny whispering sound." -1 Kings 19:12
The Lord is whispering to you. For years, He has been preparing you
to hear this whisper. In this whisper, the Lord will reveal to you
the greatest work of your life. Thousands of people will be transformed
by the Lord, if you hear and act on His whisper. You must hear God's
whisper.
The Lord whispered to Elijah that he should anoint Hazael, Jehu,
and Elisha (1 Kgs 19:15-16). Elijah was also to make Elisha his
disciple (1 Kgs 19:16). So Elijah anointed and discipled Elisha
(1 Kgs 19:19), who anointed Hazael (2 Kgs 8:7ff). Moreover, one of
Elisha's disciples anointed Jehu (2 Kgs 9:1ff). These three anointings
and the discipling of Elisha transformed the nation of Israel by
purging it of the abominations resulting from the reign of Ahab.
The Lord is also whispering to you to make disciples of your children,
godchildren, and friends. Jesus spent all of His public ministry
making disciples. He commissioned us to do the same (Mt 28:19). In
making disciples, we let ourselves and our disciples be "transformed
from glory to glory into His very image by the Lord Who is the Spirit"
(2 Cor 3:18). As transformed Christians, we in turn transform the
world. We are empowered by the Spirit to renew the face of the earth
(Ps 104:30).
The Lord is whispering to you: "Disciple, disciple." Do it.
Prayer: Father, clean out my ears by cleaning my heart.
Promise: "So Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water,
moving toward Jesus." -Mt 14:29
Praise: Alleluia! We have been baptized into Jesus' death and
resurrection (Rm 6:3ff). Alleluia!

Father help me of this burden I pray. I was on SSI at one time. Did
everything I was suppose to do. Sent in copies of my husbands pay
stubs for over the year. They continued to send me monthly checks.
Then out of the blue, I am told I no longer eligible for SSI, saying
my husband made $300 to much. They billed me for over $5,000. We
don't have that much money. Broken hearted and my pride thrown to
the wind, I called and told them I could only pay $10 a month...more
if able. We now have a grandchild living with us and money is even
tighter. I got behind but caught up. They sent me a letter to call
them. I'm worried they'll garnish my husbands check. Please let them
work with me to eliminate this massive bill. In Jesus name I pray.

Today is the Feast of Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross
(Edith Stein) who in her mid-teens considered herself an atheist,
but her longing for the "Truth" brought her to the Catholic Church.
Let us pray for the intercession of Saint Teresa Benedicta for the
conversion of all atheists and non-believers.pray the prayer Jesus
taught Mary, Saint Peter and His Disciples; the Our Father.throughout
the day.. Thank you and God Bless.

Lord Jesus, You have planted the seeds of divine life in me, and I
want to produce a great harvest for the kingdom. Jesus, let the
small seedlings you have sown in me grow into an abundant harvest.
Help me to stay awake to incursions of weeds and when weeds do slip
past me, let me turn them over to you, confident that, in the end,
they will be burned by your love. Amen

Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
