July 26th Seventeenth Sunday in ordinary time
This week, Jesus, Your church celebrates the feast of St. Martha,
who had a great desire to serve You, because of her love for You.
She also had the gift of faith to know that You were the Son of God,
the Messiah.
Martha believed in the resurrection of the dead, and knew that the
Father heard all of Your prayers.
So You showed her Your love by raising her brother from the dead.
Lord, give us the faith to truly know of the resurrection and the
grace to live lives in anticipation of coming home to You at Your call.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE MIRACLE OF MULTIPLYING MIRACLES

"The people saw the sign He had performed." -John 6:14
Jesus used the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fish
to open the blinded eyes of His apostles. He said: "Are your minds
completely blinded? Have you eyes but no sight? Ears but no hearing?
Do you remember when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand,
how many baskets of fragments you gathered up?" (Mk 8:17-19)
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Heb 13:8).
Therefore, Jesus may well be using today's Gospel reading to open our
eyes and ears spiritually. Read today's readings from the perspective
of the millions of refugees in the world. Most of us have never seen
a person starve to death, but hundreds of millions of the poor have
seen even their own children starve to death. To hear about a man who
multiplies food is the greatest of good news to millions throughout
the world.
Even if we don't need the multiplication of food in our lives, we
still desperately need the multiplication of time, energy, ministry,
and strength. We feel terribly inadequate, and we are, but the Lord
will multiply our little lives, if we give our all and ask in faith
for a multiplication.
When you come to Mass today, ask for the miracle of multiplication
to lead to the miracle of freedom from spiritual blindness. This in
turn will open our eyes to further miracles - to a multiplication of
miracles.
Prayer: Father, I give You my all so that I may see.
Promise: "There is but one body and one Spirit, just as there is but
one hope given all of you by your call." -Eph 4:4
Praise: Praise Jesus, "the Resurrection and the Life" (Jn 11:25),
Whose name is exalted above the heavens!

Please, I need your prayers.....Please pray that I keep my home...I don't
want to lose my home...July 27th I will meet with them to discuss this
matter and I am so scared I am shaking...I have had a rough time

Please pray for our family. My 48 year old husband had a massive stroke
that severely disabled him. My three teenagers and I are caring for him in
our home. We recently found out that prior to his stroke he did something
very horrible that could destroy our family and cause us to lose everything.
We are struggling as we care for a man who has ruined our lives and are
scared as we face a very uncertain future. Please pray for us.

Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
