My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

As it has been written,
"Come after Me and I will make you fishers of men." —
Matthew 4:19
"Stay with this task whether convenient or inconvenient —
correcting, reproving, appealing — constantly teaching and
never losing patience" (2 Tm 4:2).

My editorial ministry is to spread the word of Christ through
Presentation Ministries to all that will hear. We, you and I,
are part of a family of over 4000 readers around the world. I
ask, why not 8000? Will you help and share this eNewsletter
with at least one friend in Christ, today, now? Share with
them how different your life has become since focusing on
the Word, daily.

Then encourage them to join us at Presentation Ministries
for the weekly eNewsletter and the daily readings and
reflections of One Bread One Body.

May God continue to bless you and all you care for.

YBIC eNewsEditor@presentationministries.com

P.S. As of 16-Feb-2008, I have received requests for 46
sample eNewsletters. Thats a good start. Praise Jesus!

February 17th, the second Sunday of Lent.

Jesus, call each and everyone of us, to come and see You in
the Eucharist, and receive You into our hearts.

Give us the grace to go to mass, if possible, everyday during
this Lenten season.

Let us see You in the breaking of the bread, and truly desire
to sit with You in adoration.

Let us sit with You and reflect on our lives, and all the choices
we have made, and let us know which ones we should work on
changing or renewing in You.

Jesus, thank You for the gift of Your true presence in the
tabernacle and on the altar.

Your love for us knows no bounds, and You just keep giving
us Yourself, so we can have the grace and courage to walk
the real walk of Christianity every day.

Let us become living tabernacles of Your presence, and let
others see the Christ in us.

Let us be ambassadors for You, through all of our thoughts,
words, and actions.

Let us be a sign post of the road, we, and others should
walk on, to come truly into You. Amen and Amen.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body

This weeks readings and reflections

Sunday WAKE-UP CALL

http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=2/17/2008

"Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John and led them
up on a high mountain by themselves. He was transfigured
before their eyes. His face became as dazzling as the sun,
His clothes as radiant as light." —Matthew 17:1-2

The key to the Christian life is to "keep our eyes fixed on
Jesus" (Heb 12:2). When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we can
resist temptation (Heb 12:2-4), walk on the water of all our
problems (Mt 14:29), endure persecution, forgive our enemies,
and lay down our lives for Christ (Acts 7:56ff). By fixing our
eyes on Jesus, we become more aware of His presence and
grow deeper in love with Him. However, the danger in fixing
our eyes on Jesus (or anyone else), is to become so
accustomed to Jesus that we take Him for granted. So,
instead of growing in love we grow in apathy.

To reawaken us to Jesus' glory, we need to occasionally
go up with Jesus on a high mountain and see Him
transfigured. The mountain may be a healing, a tragedy,
a special spiritual experience, a surprising revelation, etc.
On this mountain we see Jesus in glory. We fall to our
knees and say: "Because of this we no longer look on
anyone in terms of mere human judgment. If at one time
we so regarded Christ, we no longer know Him by this
standard" (2 Cor 5:16). "Now all is new!" (2 Cor 5:17) With
this renewed awareness of Jesus, we listen to Him more
carefully (Mt 17:5), obey Him more strictly, and love Him
more dearly.

Monday FOR-GIVE

humbles himself shall be exalted." —Matthew 23:12

Pope Benedict XVI

Pope mobilizes Catholics to help Christians in the Holy Land

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11796

Vatican City, Feb 15, 2008 / 11:25 am (CNA).- The head of
the Congregation that oversees the Church in the Holy Land,
Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, has appealed to the Catholic Church
to provide assistance to the Christians there, so that "the future
may be welcomed with hope."

The summons to support Christians in the Holy Land went
out in the form of a letter to Catholic bishops all over the world,
and to their respective Churches. Cardinal Sandri's appeal was
made on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI, and asked for continued
spiritual and material support for the Catholic community in the
Holy Land.

"The absence of peace", says the cardinal in the
English-language version of the letter, "exacerbates the many
long-standing problems as well as the poverty afflicting the
region of the Holy Places. That absence also contributes

Pope Benedict XVI, Shepherd of Truth

Notable quotations from Pope Benedict XVI and official
teachings of the Roman Catholic Church

LENT 2008

"A PROVIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY"

Lent offers us a providential opportunity to deepen the
meaning and value of our Christian lives, and it stimulates
us to rediscover the mercy of God so that we, in turn,
become more merciful toward our brothers and sisters.

"INTERIOR RENEWAL"

In the Lenten period, the Church makes it her duly to
propose some specific tasks that accompany the faithful
concretely in this process of interior renewal: these are
prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

2007 RETREATS
Online Registration

2008 RETREATS

Feb 22 - 23
Living In Reality (held in Cincinnati Area)
Many people, even Christians, are not in touch with reality
because of sin and our secular humanistic culture. During
this retreat, we will focus on four basic timeless realities
revealed by Christ, then center on repentance and total
commitment to Jesus. The retreat will conclude with how
to build a lifestyle in the Spirit through family relationships.

Mar 15
Women's Retreat
As a woman, you are most precious to the Lord ~ come
find out more about receiving God's love and His deepest
purpose for your genuine femininity. "The dignity and the
vocation of women have gained exceptional prominence in
recent years. The hour is coming, in fact has come, when
the vocation of women is being acknowledged in its fullness,
the hour in which women acquire in the world an influence,
an effect and a power never hitherto achieved. That is why,
at this moment when the human race is undergoing so
deep a transformation, women imbued with a spirit of the
Gospel can do so much to aid humanity in not falling." –
John Paul II, On the Dignity and Vocation of Women
