Oct. 5 th 27th Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, I thank You for the gift of Mary our mother, and
thank You for allowing her to be a mediator for us to You.
This week, oh! Jesus, we have the feast of "Our Lady of
the Rosary", a feast that reminds us to use this wonderful
way of interceding for the needs of all people.
We have a beautiful meditation on Your life, and how that
should affect our love for You.
Jesus, You never leave us with out the means to come to
You in all the problems of life.
Thank You for loving us. Amen and Amen
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday ANXIETY ATTACK

"Dismiss all anxiety from your minds." —Philippians 4:6
Our society mass-produces anxiety, tension, stress,
and depression. God has given us the authority to
dismiss all these things from our minds by an act of
our will. However, there's more to it. We must present
our "needs to God in every form of prayer and in
petitions full of gratitude" (Phil 4:6). In this way, we
don't just "think positively," but actually change the
circumstances which contribute to our anxieties.
Furthermore, to be permanently free from anxiety, we
must accept God's order, His shalom-peace, into our
lives (Phil 4:7). This will guard our hearts and minds
by giving us a point of reference by which to decide if
something belongs in our lives.
Finally, permanent freedom from anxiety not only
depends on guarding against bad influences. We must
also wholly direct our thoughts "to all that is true, all
that deserves respect, all that is honest, pure,
admirable, decent, virtuous, or worthy of praise" (Phil 4:8).
In Jesus, we have authority over anxiety. We exercise
this authority through prayer, peace, and focusing on
what is true, pure, and godly. In Jesus, we can be the
most carefree, peaceful, and happy people in the world.

MARY—WHO IS SHE IN GOD'S PLAN?
"When the designated time had come, God sent forth
His Son born of a woman." —Galatians 4:4
Catholics and the Orthodox maintain Mary is the
most important human being in God's plan, except
for her Son, the God-Man, Jesus. Others think that
by honoring Mary we take away from the worship
of Jesus. However, Catholics and the Orthodox say
Mary will lead a person to Jesus, just as all good
Christians try to lead their friends to the Lord. After
all, Mary's last recorded words in the Bible were:
"Do whatever He (Jesus) tells you" (Jn 2:5). What
is Mary's part in God's plan? Does she mother,
minister, and intercede today?

MISSION AND EVANGELIZATION
"URGENT DUTY"
It is ... an urgent duty for everyone to proclaim Christ and
His saving message. St. Paul said, "Woe to me if I do not
preach it [the Gospel]!" (1 Cor 9:16).
RESPONSE TO LOVE
By looking at St. Paul's experience, we understand that
missionary activity is a response to the love with which
God loves us. His love redeems us and prods us to the
missio ad gentes.
