PM eNewsletter 19th Sunday in ordinary time

August 7th, 19th Sunday in ordinary time.

Jesus, this week, just stop us from our business, and give us the grace to just come
to You and sit in Your presense and adore You.

Help us to get out of the world and just relax with You.

Lord, give us the grace, to let us, let You be the total Lord of our lives.

Help us to realize that we must continue to try to put You as the center of our lives.

Help us to love others as we should love You.

Give us the grace to proclaim You in all of our actions.

Amen and Amen.

Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body

This weeks readings and reflections

Sunday THE "WANT-TO"
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=8/7/2011

"My conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit that there is great grief and constant
pain in my heart." -Romans 9:1-2

Paul was in pain. There was "great grief and constant pain" in his heart. This "heart-attack"
came not because Paul didn't get his way or someone had offended him. (Such are the
things many of us cry over.) His pain came because his kinsmen the Israelites did not
know Jesus personally.

Paul was so concerned about the Jews' salvation he "could even wish to be separated
from Christ" for their sake (Rm 9:3). Paul said he'd go to hell if it would help the Jews go
to heaven. The salvation of the Jewish people and all people was Paul's overriding
concern in life. He did all that he did for the sake of spreading the gospel (1 Cor 9:23). He
made himself "all things to all men in order to save at least some of them" (1 Cor 9:22). He
made himself "the slave of all so as to win over as many as possible" (1 Cor 9:19).

How badly do we want all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth?
(see 1 Tm 2:4) What causes our pain? What would we be willing to do to lead a person to
Jesus? We will be powerful evangelizers when we want to be.

What Happens When You Fall in Love

"All of us, gazing on the Lord's glory with unveiled faces, are being transformed from
glory to glory into His very image by the Lord Who is the Spirit." -2 Corinthians 3:18

Jesus promised to be with us always even to the end of the world (Mt 28:20). At the Last
Supper, He said: "This is My body," "This is My blood" (Mk 14:22, 24), and "Do this as a
remembrance of Me" (Lk 22:19). After receiving the Holy Spirit, the early Church began
to realize what Jesus did at the Last Supper, and they "devoted themselves" to "the
breaking of bread," that is, Mass and Communion (Acts 2:42).

The Holy Spirit will give us ............

Pope Benedict XVI, Shepherd of Truth
http://presentationministries.com/BST/bst2011-08.asp?navlink=latest

Notable quotations from Pope Benedict XVI and official
teachings of the Roman Catholic Church

WITNESS IN THE NEW MEDIA

"CHRISTIAN WAY"

When people exchange information, they are already sharing themselves, their view
of the world, their hopes, their ideals. It follows that there exists a Christian way of
being present in the digital world; this takes the form of a communication which is
honest and open, responsible and respectful of others.

"PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL"

To proclaim the Gospel through the new media means not only to insert expressly
religious content into different media platforms, but also to witness consistently, in
one's own digital profile and in the way one communicates choices, preferences and
judgments that are fully consistent with the Gospel, even when it is not spoken of
specifically.

CONSISTENT WITNESS

... It is also true that in the digital world that a message cannot be proclaimed without
a consistent witness on the part of the one who proclaims it. In these new
circumstances and with these new forms of expression, Christians are again called to
offer a response to anyone who asks for a reason for the hope which is within
them (cf. 1 Pt 3:15).
