This week, oh! Christ, Your church celebrates the coming of the magi.
Jesus, give us all the faith of the magi to be willing to go anywhere to find You.
Give us their courage to face any obstacle to come to You.
Lord, give us their trust to know that we will find You if only we reach out to You.
Let us all make this year, a year of new beginnings of walking to You, and following in Your footsteps.
Help us to truly focus on You, and become all that You want us to be.
Let this be our best year of faith and hope and trust in You, and You alone.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday WHEN THE STAR FADES...

"We observed His star at its rising..." -Matthew 2:2
In their homeland, the Magi saw a great star at its rising. Greatly impressed, they set
out on their journey to follow the star to greet the newborn King at Whom they believed
the star pointed. After they had traveled for a time, they could no longer see the star.
They were past the point of no return, and were not sure where God was now leading them.
But the Magi did not give up on God's leading; they did not quit and return back home.
Instead, they did the reasonable thing; they consulted the nearby leader, King Herod of
Israel. Though Herod harbored ill will, he unwittingly sent them to the right place,
Bethlehem, when his advisors consulted the Hebrew Scriptures. As the Magi set out in
blind faith for Bethlehem, suddenly the star re-appeared. It's no wonder the Magi "were
overjoyed at seeing the star" (Mt 2:10). God's guidance for their journey had resumed.
Have you ever started on a journey of faith in response to the clear prompting of God?
You commit yourself to the journey, burn your bridges behind you (see 1 Kgs 19:19-21),
and then it seems like God's divine guidance completely vanishes. This is a pattern that
many have experienced in their lives of faith. This might be a test from God, "the
Tester of our Hearts" (1 Thes 2:4).
If you're in this situation, the Magi are a model for you. Persevere in trust, as they
did, and believe that God will guide you in the proper time. "Walk by faith, not by
sight" (2 Cor 5:7). "Commit to the Lord your way; trust in Him, and He will act" (Ps 37:5).

Heavenly Father, please bless and forgive the sins of all my brothers and sisters all over this world.
From the begining of time until that fateful last day. Forgive them Father and bring us all together
to live with You in Heaven, along with our Savior Jesus Christ who died for us, with His mother Mary,
Joseph , His earthly father, and all the angels and saints. I ask too Father, that you feed all who
hunger, give drink to all who thirst, provide homes to those who have none and save the homes of those
who have lost their jobs and are in jeopardy of losing their homes. Help those worrying about rent or
mortgage payments. Heal all who are sick or provide health care to those that cannot afford it. Give
jobs to all who need them and transportation to and from. I love my brothers and sisters of this earth
and pray You provide their needs. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN

Heavenly Father, Please be with my grandson tonight. He got his drivers license only a few days ago
and has never been out alone. Please keep him safe. Please see that he keeps his mind on his driving
and that he causes no harm to himself, others or his date. Bless all the children who drive Father.

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
