Aug 12th 19th Sunday in ordinary time.
This week, oh! Christ, Your church celebrates the assumption
of the blessed virgin Mary into Your eternal kingdom.
Christ, what a fitting end to Mary's life that right after
death, she was assumed into Your heavenly kingdom, body
and soul.
Jesus, help us to have that love for Mary, our mother, that
You have.
Help us to intercede to her as a very strong mediator to You
for all the needs that we have.
Jesus, You gave us Mary as an example of what trust in You
can cause.
She was full of grace and love.
Jesus, continue to shower down on us some of that grace, so
that we can trust You all the days of our life.
Thank you Jesus.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE DEPRESSION DIET

"This is the Bread that comes down from heaven for a man to eat and never die." -John 6:50
Even the mighty Elijah became depressed. He went into the desert, cut himself off from
others (1 Kgs 19:4), prayed for death, and fell asleep (1 Kgs 19:4-5). However, the Lord
rescued Elijah from depression by sending an angel, who ordered Elijah to get up and eat
(1 Kgs 19:5).
God's solution to depression is for us to eat. Most people do this, but in the wrong way.
The world is full of depressed people who eat to make themselves feel better. However,
the Lord did not command Elijah just to eat but rather to eat what He gave him through
the angel. If we eat the food of the world, our depression will only worsen, and we will
even lose our appetite for the goodness of the Lord (see Ps 34:9). We will become
spiritually anorexic. What we must do daily, and especially in difficult times, is to
eat the spiritual food of Jesus Himself in His Word (see Mt 4:4) and in the Eucharist.
Jesus promises: "I Myself am the Living Bread come down from heaven. If anyone eats this
Bread he shall live forever; the bread I will give is My flesh, for the life of the
world" (Jn 6:51).
Eat, drink, and be Christian, for we will never die.
Prayer: Father, may I not fall into spiritual anorexia.
Promise: "Do nothing to sadden the Holy Spirit with Whom you were sealed against the day
of redemption." -Eph 4:30
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus! You are "the Resurrection and the Life" (Jn 11:25). Alleluia!

nurture the seed of faith God has planted in me, my grandson , my children and my entire
family tree and use this to pray for protection from all that is evil and obey God's will
with joyful obedience and follow Christ more closely in service, humility and love thanking
and praising God for making 2012 a year of superabundant graces and blessings fo me and my

Could you please pray so Tyler and Vitas will quit fighting so much start realizing how
important school is. So I Vicky will find a good Gynocologist that has moral ethics whom
says I do not need a hysterectomy so I will grt some sign about Dr Butto if he only wants
money. So this world will start driving slower and better Keep Renee Vita A Tyler and Vitas

The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
