March 15th Fourth Sunday of Lent
This week, Jesus, we celebrate a true servant of Yours.
St. Joseph, husband of Mary.
He was a man who truly gave his life totally to the Father.
He dedicated all of his life actions to provide and protect You,
and Mary, Your mother.
He is a shining example of how we should all be willing to trust
You and do Your will in everything.
Jesus, ask Joseph to pray for us, that we will have the
commitment to truly let You be the Lord of our lives.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday SUFFERING JOY

"We are truly His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to lead the life
of good deeds which God prepared for us in advance." -Ephesians 2:10
Today is "Laetare Sunday" or, in English, "Joy Sunday." The Church
commands us to rejoice. We rejoice in how the Lord has been loving us
throughout the first half of Lent. We joyfully anticipate the glories
of the Easter season.
However, many of us seem to have little to rejoice in. We have been
rejected, abused, and hurt. Lent has not been the springtime of our
life, but a devastating winter storm with no signs of letting up. How
can we rejoice under the worst circumstances?
The Lord does not command us to rejoice in the circumstances but in
Him (Phil 4:4). The Lord has been rich in mercy toward us (Eph 2:4).
He has "brought us to life with Christ when we were dead in sin"
(Eph 2:5). He has saved us, raised us up, and given us a place in the
heavens (Eph 2:6). The Lord has given us eternal life.
No matter how bad things are, if we have given our lives to Jesus, we
have reason to rejoice. We can rejoice in Jesus and our salvation. We
can have Jesus' joy (Jn 15:11) - a joy that no one can take away from
us (Jn 16:22). Our love for Jesus will free us from slavery to
circumstances. We will not only be freed from seeing our troubles as
obstacles to joy; we will even see them as reasons for joy (1 Pt 1:6).
In fact, our joy will be proportionate to our sufferings for Jesus
(1 Pt 4:13). The more we suffer for His kingdom, the more joy we have.
Prayer: Father, this Lent give me the fruit of the Spirit - miraculous,
divine joy (Gal 5:22).
Promise: "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever
believes in Him may not die but may have eternal life." -Jn 3:16
Praise: "My being proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit finds
joy in God my Savior" (Lk 1:46:47).

Lord You want our relationship with You to be substantial, not
superficial. May it be like a rock and not like dew or the mist
of a morning cloud (see Hos 6:4 ). I pray for the grace to forge
a relationship with You solid enough to withstand the trials of
life, the inevitable persecutions of life in You, and the
challenging immediacy of death. Lord with Your prophetic word
crucify our "flesh with its passions and desires" ( Gal 5:24 ).
By dying to self, we shall change from the superficiality in
selfishness to the substance in love. May we listen to the
prophets and the prophetesses You send into our lives, family
members, those in authority, the poor, the sick, the dying, and
even our enemies. Lord You are giving ( 2 Pt 1:19 ). It is Your
way to enable us to have a substantial relationship with You.
Lord see me through the financial and salary crises I am facing
in a substantial way In Jesus' mighty name we pray amen.

Please pray that i find a place to stay before its too late. pray
that my income comes in time also for my health problems and that
i find my wallet also that i sell all the furniture in the house
also that i find someone to love me for me have a family of my own

EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY prayers requested for my wife--Sally-
-has cancer and right now hitting a temperature of 101.3. Danger
signal at 100.5--so we have to go to the emergency room right now
and the shots will be called by Dana Farber Cancer Institute in
Boston, MA. Please pray strong community prayers for us to reach
Dana physicians and get the proper guidance and direction for
reducing this temperature on Sally. Ctitically imporant. Pray that
Mary intervenes, and all secular franciscans intercede, intervene,
guide, direct, help, assist with this healing right now. Not
tomorrow, not the day after, but right now. Sally is our regional
minister for our order here in New England. Need massive prayers
NOW FOR HEALING OF whatever is going on with this temperature

Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.

FIGHT INDIFFERENCE IN LENT
