This week, Jesus, Your church celebrates the Feast Day
of St. Aloysius Gonzaga.
He received You only once a week, but spent the first three
days in preparation to receive You, and after having received
You, he spent the next three days in thanksgiving because
of the privledge.
Jesus, give us that intensity of love for Your Eucharistic self.
May we will always prepare to recieve You, and give thanks
after we have received You.
Let us never just receive, but be in awe of the gift, and in the
right state of grace, to truly receive You.
Let each reception fill us with love, and open our minds and
hearts, to the needs of those around us.
Let us glow with the face of Moses, who stood in Your fathers
presence. Amen and Amen
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday GOD'S NUDGES

"I bore you up on eagle wings." —Exodus 19:4
Researchers have discovered that eagles live in cliffs of the
mountainous Sinai region in which the Lord spoke the above
words to Moses. To teach their young to fly, the eagles
nudge their young nestlings out of the nest, causing them
to free-fall off the side of the cliff. If the baby eagle isn't able
to discover how to fly in the pressure of the moment, the
mother eagle swoops downward and "catches" the young
eagle on her extended wings. She then flies around with
her young offspring to give it the sensation of flying. This
process is repeated until the young eagle learns how to fly.
Moses declares of God: "As an eagle incites its nestlings
forth by hovering over its brood, so He spread His wings to
receive them and bore them up on His pinions" (Dt 32:11).
God didn't create us to stay in the safety of the nest. He
nudges us out of our comfort zone, personally bears us
up on His wings when we fall (Ex 19:4), and assures us
of His loving care (1 Pt 5:7). Though this constant divine
nudging might seem stressful or even unbearable, the
Lord uses it to renew us rather than exhaust us (Ps 103:5).
An eagle can't fly by being scared stiff. It must relax and
flow with the wind. Likewise, we must relax, let it be
done to us, and let the wind of the Spirit carry us wherever
God wills (Jn 3:8). When we abandon ourselves to God's
nudges, we discover that instead of stressing out, we
learn to fly. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" (Prv 3:5).
"Soar as with eagles' wings" (Is 40:31).

Although the Lord reveals to us in His word that we are
in a spiritual war, most Christians don't seem to take this
very seriously. How much do you hear about spiritual
warfare from the pulpit? If you brought up spiritual warfare
in your parish council meetings, what would be the
reaction? A few Christians try to "push" spiritual warfare,
but they are usually dismissed
as "fundamentalist" and not given a hearing. Consequently,
many Christians give little thought to the Biblical revelation
that we are in a war against evil spirits, and of course
they're very likely to lose a war that they don't believe they're in.

have many depending on them for a livelihood. Jesus my
savior you are our redeemer the one true friend who would
never betray us. Hearken Thee my Lord to the cries of we
thou unworthy children. We beseech thou mercy just
because we are your children and hate not to conform to

word for employment for my husband ~ 48 more hours

First, thanksgiving to the Lord for finding our son a new
job. He received 2 job offers the day he was laid off and
has accepted one and will be moving soon. Tonight I have
seen my husband close to tears because our house has
not sold, we have no one that we know of who is
interested and no income. My husband is 65 and lost
his job with the company he helped start. and is very
depressed. I know the Lord has a plan and we must wait
and do not know what is happening in the background
and we must trust but right now we are both falling short
in faith and trust. I know your prayers are with us I just
wish I could totally let go and let God guide us to the path
He wants us to follow. I have asked for a sign and perhaps
because I am so tied up in knots I am not seeing it.
Please pray for my lack of faith and trust. I am so sorry
I have diappointed God.
