Jesus, being Your brothers and sisters should always keep us
from ever being ordinary.
We, through prayer and actions, should be stars that shine in
Your heavenly kingdom.
We should be on fire with love for You and love for others.
Please help us to come and adore You in the Eucharist, and
grow in wisdom, and grace, and forgivness.
Help us to be free from the ordinariness of the world and just
be stewards of Your gifts to us.
Help us to love, laugh and really care for others. Amen and Amen
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday JANUARY-JOY

"No more shall men call you 'Forsaken,' or your land 'Desolate,'
but you shall be called 'My Delight,' and your land 'Espoused.' " —Isaiah
62:4
In the beginning of this new year, we may have already lost the
joy of the feast of Christmas. Spiritually, we may have run out of
wine, as they did at the wedding feast of Cana (Jn 2:3). Yet once
again, Jesus will change the simple elements of daily life into the
fine wine of love, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22). No
matter how cold and blue January seems to us, Jesus will warm
our hearts with the fire of His love.
Life seems long and hard. We are weary and burdened
(see Mt 11:28). We are depressed and restless. Our pleasures
and distractions leave us more empty than ever. It's hard to face
the reality of January. The Super Bowl is the most compelling
distraction in January, but we know in our hearts that the Super
Bowl is merely a super-hype and just one more way to manipulate
consumers. The only way not to run out of the joy in life, the only
way to be happy and not just entertained, the only way to love
January is to love Jesus.
Jesus is still saying: "Come to Me, all you who are weary and find
life burdensome, and I will refresh you" (Mt 11:28). He alone can
give us life to the full (Jn 10:10).

Divine Mercy You have said to St. Faustina: In this hour, I will
refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue
of My Passion…. Jesus I Trust in You. Let us continue to pray
for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. As we approach the
anniversary of the most regrettable decisions made by the
supreme court, let us pray for an end to abortion, for the
organizers of the March for Life and the Walk for Life along
with all the supporters throughout the world. Let us also pray
the present hearing by the supreme court in California does
not result in another Roe v Wade…Lord hear our prayer. God's
gift of L. I. F. E. = L = Love, I = Innocence, F = Family, E = Eucharist

Father, I lift up to you each person who has died in Haiti, grant
them eternal rest. For each survivor I ask for your mercy, grace
and strength. For those who are critically injured, please send
them aid quickly to alleviate their suffering. For those who are
assisting them, physical strength and every grace and blessing.
Bless each heart that is touched by their predicament to reach
out in whatever way they can to help their brothers and sisters
in Haiti. Amen
