January 6th The "Epiphany"
Jesus, thank you for Your tremendous gift of eternal life that started with Your being
with us.
Lord, You came to this earth to do the Fathers will in everything.
Jesus, please help us always to do Your will as we struggle to really be Christ to
others, and live as light in this darkened world.
Lord, help us to look with Your eyes, and see the real needs of those not only around
us, but truly the needs of all peoples.
Let us pray and be willing, to be just stewards of all the gifts, that You have given
us.
We pray, help us to share with others, in love and in gratitude to You.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your love.
Amen and Amen.
Thanks to You, Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday ON THE LIGHT SIDE

"Rise up in splendor! Your light has come." -Isaiah 60:1
Alleluia! Today is the highlight of the Christmas season. Jesus, the Light of the world (Jn 8:12)
and the bright Morning Star (Rv 22:16), has conquered the darkness. The Lord conquered the
darkness by creating light at the beginning of creation (Gn 1:2-3). Through His Incarnation
and our re-creation, the Lord has also triumphed over the darkness of sin and death.
We can share in the victory of Jesus the Light by doing what the wise men and women of all times
have done - by coming into Jesus the Light, prostrating ourselves before Him, and giving Him our
gifts, that is, our whole lives (Mt 2:11). When we by faith decide to love the Lord with all our
hearts, all our souls, all our strength, and all our minds (Lk 10:27), we walk in the light
(1 Jn 1:7), become "the light of the world" (Mt 5:14), and even become "light in the Lord" and
"children of light" (Eph 5:8). With and in Jesus, we shine "on in darkness, a darkness" that
will not overcome us (Jn 1:5).
Love the Light. Love God, Who is Light (1 Jn 1:5). Love Jesus. Be light. Happy Epiphany! Alleluia!
Prayer: Father, may I "possess the light of life" (Jn 8:12).
Promise: "In Christ Jesus the Gentiles are now co-heirs with the Jews, members of the same body
and sharers of the promise through the preaching of the gospel." -Eph 3:6
Praise: "He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit; seen by the angels; preached
among the Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up into glory" (1 Tm 3:16).

Thank You Father for answering my prayer last night. It WAS beautiful. I pray for all my
brothers and sisters this world over that forgiveness and salvation will be for all. I also
pray dear Father that You hear the prayers of those in need. Please grant to them all they need
to keep them going and afloat. I pray for the poor and middle class that their (our)lives will
become a little easier and better. I ask that all Your children are fed daily, have homes,
healthcare, jobs and job security, transportation to work but most of all I pray that everyone
returns to You and Your Word and that we will all be together one day in heaven with You our
God, Father, Creator and Savior. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
