January 20th Second Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, help us to truly realize, that in You, there is no ordinary time.
Everyday, Lord, is a gift, and a call.
A gift, Lord, that says we are loved, and a call that motivates us to help others.
Jesus, let us not feel ordinary, but feel as we really are, special in You.
Lord Jesus, let us see that not only are we special, but all people are special,
and deserve our help and love.
Lord, let our light shine in the midst of all the turmoil, and let us be examples
of steady rock in trusting You.
Father, let our homes be filled with Your peace, and let us truly be at peace
in our hearts.
Jesus, let us help lift the darkness for those who have no peace.
Amen and Amen.
Thanks to You, Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE GLORY OF OBEDIENCE

"His mother instructed those waiting on table, 'Do whatever He tells you.' " -John 2:5
When you run out of wine at a wedding reception, do what Jesus tells you. When you don't see
any way out of all your problems, obey Jesus in detail. When you're in the desert and haven't
entered the Promised Land, obey Jesus without veering to the right or the left (see Dt 5:32).
When you want to do your own thing, do Jesus' thing instead. When you must crush the devil
quickly, obey Jesus (see Rm 16:19-20; 2 Cor 10:6). If you want to save the lives of babies in
the womb, "lean not on your own understanding" (Prv 3:5, our transl.), but do what Jesus says.
If you want to lead your children to Jesus or save your marriage, obey the Lord. When you want
to face death fearlessly, obey Jesus.
Sin entered the world through the disobedience of the one man, Adam, but salvation came
through the obedience of the one man, Jesus (Rm 5:17-19). Obedience is an opportunity,
privilege, and joy (see Ps 40:9). In obedience, we have reason to be hopeful even under the
worst circumstances. In obedience, we imitate Jesus, Who obeyed His Father even to accepting
death on the cross (Phil 2:8).
Life in Christ is the "life of obedience" (1 Pt 1:2). Obedience is the way to victory. Thank
the Lord each day for the privilege of obeying Him.
Prayer: Father, lead me to obey You in ways where I have never obeyed You before.
Promise: "Prophecy is given to one; to another power to distinguish one spirit from another.
One receives the gift of tongues." -1 Cor 12:10
Praise: Praise the risen Jesus, the incarnate and eternal Word! Alleluia to the Word made
Flesh! (Jn 1:14)

Hi, I am living in Canada. I have landed few months back. As a new immigrant, it is very
difficult to find out jobs in my own field. I have applied many other job opportunities that
match my actual experiences and expertise, but in vain. Therefore, I have started my career in a
warehouse. Even though it is hard to continue with this kind of jobs, I have no option at all.
Now the bad thing is that I lost my current job two weeks back. I am searching for new jobs for
two weeks but no fruitful result. As I have so many financial crisis, I need a job at the
earliest. So kindly pray for me to get a good job ASAP. Also, please pray to strengthen my faith
in Jesus and hold him at all times. Thanks

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
