January 31st Fourth Sunday in ordinary time
Merciful Christ, we were presented to You, the Father and the Holy Spirit
when we were brought to the church for baptism.
Lord,as we celebrate Your presentation in the temple, let it be a reminder
for us of what a great privledge we received by becoming a child of God.
Jesus,let us realize that we are children of a royal heritage, and heirs
to the privledge of eternal life.
Thank You for Your great gift, and let us be excited to belong to You.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday TO LOVE IS DIVINE

"There are in the end three things that last: faith, hope, and love, and the
greatest of these is love." -1 Corinthians 13:13
If we have not love, we are nothing (1 Cor 13:2). If we have not love, our
best efforts are useless (1 Cor 13:3). "The man without love has known nothing
of God, for God is Love" (1 Jn 4:8). "The man who does not love is among the
living dead" (1 Jn 3:14). Life without love is death. We must have love.
However, it is humanly impossible for us to truly love. It seems that we are
able to love some people almost naturally. However, without divine intervention,
either this is not true love or God is helping us love without us knowing it.
To love is divine. Even the various expressions of love are divine. For example,
"to err is human, to forgive is divine."
To love, we must realize the necessity of love and its impossibility by human
powers. Then we will ask the Lord to give us the miracle of love. He will do
this by loving us first (1 Jn 4:19) and purifying us through obedience to the
truth (1 Pt 1:22). Love is the fruit of a great, multi-faceted work of the
Spirit (Gal 5:22). He graces us with faith, virtue, discernment, self-control,
perseverance, piety, care for our brothers and sisters, and finally love
(2 Pt 1:5-7). Love is a miracle resulting from a series of miracles. To act
from a heart of love, that is, charity, is also a miracle. To love is divine.
Ask God for love several times a day. He is the only Source of love, for He is
Love (1 Jn 4:16).
Prayer: Father, may I receive Your love and grow in Your love so I can give
love and act out of charity.
Promise: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I
dedicated you." -Jer 1:5
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus, soon to come in glory. Be glorified in our
lives. Alleluia!

Prayer for Our local parish to have compassion and love on the sick. To not judge
them or hate them. To become true disciples of Christ and to want to receive new
converts through evangelism so that year after year the church can grow and impact
change in the neighborhood of Crown heights Brooklyn NY. I pray that God will
raise up true intercessors at the local parish that has a love for all people. I
pray that they will have no favoritism or hate for those that God wants to plant
in His kingdom. I pray for new souls and change in our community. Thank you Lord
for hearing. My prayer.

Fear is useless. LORD please look kindly on the petitions posted and all the
requests said silently in our hearts. LORD please have mercy on this sinner.
Please forgive me my many sins. I am not worthy LORD but I need your help. LORD
I must love You above everything, I am weak. I need help. I must love everyone
unconditionally. I am weak. I need Your help. In JESUS I trust.

Please pray for Agatha who has been harassed abused and physically assaulted by
her husband even though she works from morn to night to feed and clothe them both.
He is a an alcoholic and is right now standing with a stick to beat her to death.
That the Holy Spirit will stay his hand - and deliver him from this violent and
abusive way of dealing with his wife who has been faithful to him all these years.
Please storm heaven for them. She is a good woman, faithful, dilgent, good in her
work, intelligent and has provided for him inspite of his being an alcoholic and
doing no work all these years.

Please pray for me. My husband who does nothing but drink the whole day is ready
right now to beat me to death with a stick because I have just reached home late
on account of being held up in the house where I work as a maid as there was
repair work going on in their house and I helped them clean and clear up. Jesus
Mother Mary please be with me and intercede for me and for him to be calm and
stop beating me up and abusing me. I work from morn to night to keep body and
soul together and he beats me up. I just cannot take it any longer.

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years.
Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now continues with one deacon of the
Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short
teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the
next day on a separate line. Daily audio reflections are also
