January 24th, The 3rd Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, You called St. Paul, who was a sinner, a man who thought that You and Your followers
were to be eliminated.
When Paul asked You who You were that he was persecuting, You said that "when you persecute
the least of my people, you persecute me".
Jesus, continue to help all our brothers and sisters, who today are being persecuted for
their belief in You.
Help us to pray for them and assist them in every way possible.
Let us do what we can to bring religious freedom to all people.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE BIBLE CHALLENGE

"He came to Nazareth where He had been reared, and entering the synagogue on
the sabbath as He was in the habit of doing, He stood up to do the reading."
-Luke 4:16
Jesus began His public ministry reading and proclaiming God's Word. Ezra began
a renewal of the Israelite nation by reading and teaching God's Word from
daybreak to midday (Neh 8:3, 8). We too can begin this year with an extensive
time in God's Word. Consider committing yourself to read and pray the Bible
for an hour a day till the beginning of Lent. If this seems too much, commit
yourself to fifteen to thirty minutes of daily Bible reading for the next two
weeks.
When we deeply expose ourselves to God's Word, we are purified of evil
(Eph 5:26) and trimmed of that which limits our growth in the Lord (Jn 15:2-3).
By receiving God's Word, we hear the Lord better and grow in faith (Rm 10:17).
God's Word will help us know ourselves better by judging the thoughts and
reflections of our hearts (Heb 4:12). By God's Word, we are fed spiritually
(Mt 4:4), made joyful, and strengthened (Neh 8:10). God's Word will make us
"fully competent and equipped for every good work" (2 Tm 3:17).
These are only a few effects of God's Word. His Word is so living, effective
(Heb 4:12), powerful, and rich that this may well be the best year of our lives
if we begin it with a deep experience of the Word.
Prayer: Father, may I be as eager for Your Word as a newborn baby for milk
(1 Pt 2:2).
Promise: "If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member
is honored, all the members share its joy." -1 Cor 12:26
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus, the Light of Life (Jn 8:12). Alleluia to You
forever and ever!

till he can have a heart transplant. Jett is a sweet child of God and been

Father I thank you for MP and that you have brought them together. Be with
them, guard, guide and protect them as they prepare for that day when they
will be joined together as husband and wife. Holy Spirit help them with
their preps in every way possible - you be in total control so the focus is
on the Sacrament and everything else flows harmoniously and makes the day a
beautiful, blessed and holy day. Bless them with good health and every
grace and blessing of mind, heart and spirit. Bless the parents, siblings
so that all the preps stand safe, protected and blessed. Mother Mary be a

Father, I thank you for each one who was present at the inner healing
retreat on Thursday, your word will not return empty but bear much fruit.
Help them ponder on all that was said and let it take root and bear much
visible fruit in their lives and the lives of their families and those who
they come in contact with. Mother Mary, all you angels and saints and holy
souls in purgatory keep interceding for them as also the team members and

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years.
Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now continues with one deacon of the
Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short
teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the
next day on a separate line. Daily audio reflections are also
