ABBA-LOVE
"Likewise when you see all the things happening of which I speak, know that the reign of God is near." -Luke 21:31
Only two days remain before we begin the new Church year. With Jesus, come before "the Ancient One" (Dn 7:13), your Abba, your Daddy. Let the Holy Spirit cry out in your heart "Abba!" (Gal 4:6; Rm 8:15) Hear the Father call you His beloved son or daughter in whom He is well pleased (see Mt 3:17).
Be assured that your Father loves you so much that He has sent His Son Jesus to die for love of you. Believe that your Father loves you perfectly, infinitely, always, and forever. It is impossible for Him to love you more. He loves you as much as He loves Mary, the mother of His Son, Jesus. He loves you even if you don't love Him, even if you choose to never love Him and be separated from Him forever. Your Abba loves you unconditionally. Live in His love. Love in His love. Love Him not to gain His love but because He has loved you from the first moment of your existence - before you were ever aware of His love.
Immersed and secure in Abba's love, you are ready to begin a new Church year as the Lord desires.
Prayer: Abba, You are Love (1 Jn 4:16). I live in You; I live in Love (1 Jn 4:16).
Promise: "The heavens and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass." -Lk 21:33
Praise: Annie, in preparing her heart to receive Jesus in a new way on Christmas, asked Him to bless her with the gift of praying in tongues by the end of Advent. On Christmas Eve, she praised her Lord for the first time using the gift of tongues.
