December 3rd The first Sunday of Advent
Here we are again, Jesus, into Christmas.
Please Lord, let this truly be a holy period, for us to prepare, to herald Your birth.
Let us not get so wrapped up into presents, that we forget, to give You the present of
our love.
Let us see that in this amazing birth, our eternal life factor was now in play.
You came to give us all eternal life, and You came to make reparation for all of the sins
that was ever or will be committed.
Let us be set on fire with love for You and the love You showed us.
Let us see You in others, and be Christ to them, so that someday we all may shine in
heaven with You.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday EXCHANGING WILLS

"Why do You let us wander, O Lord, from Your ways, and harden our hearts so that we fear You
not?" -Isaiah 63:17
The author of today's passage from the book of the prophet Isaiah laments to the Lord that
his fellow Israelites are so prone to turning their backs to God. This causes the prophet to
beg God to return to His people. This prophet has the true spirit of Advent: He is waiting
for the coming of the Lord with a heart that longs to make changes so that God's will would
be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We humans were born with a rebellious nature and a stubborn, selfish will. However, we are
not doomed to rebellion against the Lord. In this season in which the world exchanges gifts,
God offers us the greatest possible gift exchange. He lets us exchange our will for His. He
gives us His perfect will; we give Him our selfish, unwatchful will.
In these days of Advent, ask the Lord to conform your will to His (Rm 12:2). Let this be your
Advent prayer: " 'Not my will but Yours be done' (Lk 22:42). 'Your will be done on earth as
it is in heaven' (Mt 6:10). 'Be it done to me according to Your will' (see Lk 1:38). 'To do
Your will, O my God, is my delight' " (Ps 40:9).
Prayer: "Lord, make us turn to You; let us see Your face and we shall be saved"
(today's psalm response from Mass).
Promise: "He will strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our
Lord Jesus [Christ]." -1 Cor 1:8
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus, Emmanuel, "God with us!" You became flesh and dwelt among us.
Praise You for letting us see Your glory (Jn 1:14).

Please pray that I may make the right decision re: my grand daughter who is getting
"married" to her girlfriend on Dec.16, this year. I am deeply concerned for her soul,
and praying for her salvation, and to come to her senses. I do not intend to go to the
so called ceremony, and don't want anything to do with it, but am praying she will
realize the wrongfulness in her decision. I need advice as to what to do deal with
this, It is tearing me up inside knowing how offensive it is to our Lord and God. Please
God, send someone to help me to know what to do. I love her, but not what she is doing..
Please pray for my husband Bill who is suffering greatly with liver cancer, that he will
give his life to Jesus before it is too late. Also, please pray for me to cope with all
the above, and for healing for my own painful circumstances of back pain and other aging
problems. My husband and I are both 87.

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 26 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.
