December 10th 2nd Sunday of Advent
Oh God, let us never become concerned that You will leave us abandoned to the world with
all of its turmoil and stress.
But rather, You have given us a mother of the America's to intercede for us, and help guide
us to the presence of Your son Jesus.
Oh Jesus, You are truly our way, and truth, and way of life.
Grace us to understand, as Mary our Mother does, how wonderful Your love is for us, and how
necessary it is for our acceptance of this life, with all of its situations, and problems.
Let us praise, and glorify You, everyday, with our actions of love, and grant us all the
peace that goes beyond understanding--Your peace and joy.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday TENDER, COMFORTING LOVE

"Comfort, give comfort to My people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem." -Isaiah 40:1-2
This Christmas, the Lord wants us to have a special "encounter" with Him
(see Church in America, 3). He wants our relationship with Him to be greater than any other
love in our life. He will make our relationship with Him so deep, personal, and intimate that
He will be a Source of comfort for us even in our worst sufferings (see Is 40:1-2; Ps 94:19).
The Lord wants a tender relationship with us (see Is 40:2). He even lives in us and us in Him
(Jn 14:20; 17:23, NAB). The depth and the intimacy of our relationship with the Lord is such
that we can receive even His Body and Blood into our bodies.
We receive this deep, personal, intimate relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. For
example, Jesus' disciples spent day after day with Jesus for years, but they never had a deep
relationship. This was manifested when they abandoned Christ as He was crucified. However,
when the Holy Spirit descended upon them at Pentecost, they became so close to Jesus that they
gave their lives to Him, proclaimed His love to the nations, and even died for Him.
Therefore, let us pray: Come, Holy Spirit! Come, Christmas Spirit of comforting, tender, and
deep love!
Prayer: Father, let it be done to me according to Your will (see Lk 1:38).
Promise: "Make every effort to be found without stain or defilement, and at peace in His sight."
-2 Pt 3:14
Praise: Jesus came forth from the tomb; "Truth shall spring out of the earth" (Ps 85:12).
Praise You, risen Jesus, for conquering death and saving us.

My husband is waiting for jobs to start up so he can work. "For I know the plans I have

I do not need a perfect life, just a life knowing God is with me through all of it.
Pray that I feel God's love, know God's peace, God's strength, protection and comfort
- please God bring peace to my husband's and my troubled souls. Some financial relief

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 26 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.
