October 13th, 28th Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, this week Your church celebrates the feast day of St. Luke the evangelist.
St. Luke wrote two books of the new testament that gives us information about the workings of the early church.
Help us Jesus, to really pray for our church and especially the leaders of the church.
Jesus, let us be prayer warriors for our bishops, priests, and deacons as they lead us to You.
Let us truly see that the Catholic church is our guide that directs us to eternal life with You forever.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday LOVE'S GROUND-BREAKING

"Please let me, your servant, have two mule-loads of earth, for I will no longer offer holocaust or
sacrifice to any other god except to the Lord." -2 Kings 5:17
When Naaman, the healed Syrian general and leper, took two mule-loads of Jewish dirt back home with him, he
was literally breaking new ground in his relationship with the Lord. We too must guard against "getting in a
rut" in our love for the Lord. We must always be seeking to grow more deeply in love with Him, or we put
ourselves in danger of falling away from loving Him with all our hearts and becoming lukewarm (see Rv 3:16).
Hosea prophesied: "Break up for yourselves a new field, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come and
rain down justice upon you" (Hos 10:12).
"Our God is a consuming Fire" (Heb 12:29), and we who are in love with Him want to be consumed by Him more
and more. The Lord commands us: "Grow rather in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ" (2 Pt 3:18). The Lord has taught us to pray to "experience this love which surpasses all knowledge"
so that we "may attain to the fullness of God" (Eph 3:19).
The nature of love is always to seek a deeper love. May we pray: "O God, You are my God Whom I seek; for You
my flesh pines and my soul thirsts" (Ps 63:2), and "Your kindness is a greater good than life" (Ps 63:4). By
His grace, enter a new dimension of the mystery of God, Who is Love (1 Jn 4:8).
Prayer: Father, I surrender myself to You and worship You, Who are Love (1 Jn 4:8).
Promise: "One of them, realizing that he had been cured, came back praising God in a loud voice. He threw
himself on his face at the feet of Jesus and spoke His praises." -Lk 17:15-16
Praise: "They took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. Yet God raised him from the dead"
(Acts 13:29-30). Praise You, Jesus!

Based on the gospel by Luke chapter 4: 38-41. Today I ask You, Lord Jesus Christ, and believe that You will
cure my husband of his back injury and leg pain/restless leg. PLEASE keep promises over my husband. I believe
in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask You to begin Your mighty work in the life of my husband.
Please reach down and surround my husband with peace and strength and give him the faith to believe that all
things are possible for you. Protect him from discouragement and let his healing begin. I ask this trough
Christ our Lord. Please, hear my prayer and the prayers of all Your faithful and in Your divine mercy answer

Abba Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Mama Mary, all you angels and saints, I lift up to you my husband under heavy
medication for a spine infection. Jesus let your holy and precious blood wash away every trace of infection so
the next MRI end of this month is clear and they stop the medication. For the family wisdom, understanding,
discernment and every grace and blessing to do the right thing for him at the right time.

St. Anthony, you were blessed to hold the Infant Jesus in your arms. I come to you now on behalf of my daughter
who pleads for the health and safety of the twins that God has graced her to conceive. Guard the lives God has
created and mother and father God has chosen for these children. Let your gentle hand like that of a skilled
physician, aid her throughout her pregnancy and delivery so that these babies will know good health and lasting
happiness. May the children be favoured with the grace of holy baptism and grow to love Abba Father, Jesus the
Holy Spirit and our dearest Mother Mary always..

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 28 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.

END HUNGER

we ought to feel shame for not having achieved the same advances in humanity and solidarity, and so satisfy
