January 20th, 2nd Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, life in You is anything but ordinary.
Let us all come to realize that Your, living and dying, should
have raised us all up to a new level of awareness.
That awareness is, that You loved us so much, that You died
that we might someday enter into eternal happiness with You,
the Triune God, forever.
Jesus, keep us aware of Your love, by the many graces that
You bestow on us everyday.
Let us come before You in adoration, and just sit with You
in love.
Let us realize that not only are we special, but that all life is
special, and deserves loving care.
Jesus, let Your Holy Spirit quide us to all truth.
Let Your Holy Spirit inspire us to read Your word everyday,
and grow from those graces received.
St. Jerome told us that ignorance of scripture in ignorance
of You, let that not happen to us, Your children, brothers
and sisters. Amen and Amen.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body
This weeks readings and reflections
Sunday TITLE INSURANCE
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=1/20/2008
"Look! There is the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of
the world." —John 1:29
The Holy Spirit inspired St. John to pack his Gospel with titles
of Jesus. Praying and praising Jesus by speaking His titles and
meditating upon them is great insurance against taking Jesus
for granted. It's a great way to deepen our relationship with Him.
Among other titles, John refers to Jesus as:
the Word of God (Jn 1:1) and Word-Made-Man (Jn 1:14),
"Lamb of God" (Jn 1:29),
God's "Chosen One" (Jn 1:34),
Rabbi, (and also Teacher) (Jn 1:38),
"the Messiah" (Jn 1:41),
Son of God and King of Israel (Jn 1:18, 49),
"the Son of Man" (Jn 1:51),
"the Bread of Life" (Jn 6:35, 48),
"Light of the World" (Jn 8:12),
"I AM" (Jn 8:28; see also Ex 3:14),
"Lord" (Jn 9:38),
"Good Shepherd" (Jn 10:11, 14),
"the Resurrection and the Life" (Jn 11:25),
"the Way, and the Truth, and the Life" (Jn 14:6),
"the Vine" (Jn 15:5),
"the King of the Jews" (Jn 19:19), and
"my Lord and my God!" (Jn 20:28)
There are many other Scriptural titles of Jesus. These titles
combat deception and encourage truth.
Praise Jesus by His titles.

PM Internet Prayer Requests
http://www.presentationministries.com/prayer/prayer.asp
Dear Jesus, I ask prayer for my dad who has been very
emotionally abusive to my mother, my sister and me. In an
angry rage because I was watching a show with my mother
and the baby and was still at the house around 9pm he verbally
lashed out and declared that he never wanted to see his
grandkids again or me his daughter. This is breaking my heart
and I will forgive him in a heartbeat if he would only apologize
for his lifetime of terrible word choice against me. I ask God to
restore our family unity as the family is fractured. I ask healing
for dad as he is a WWII survivor and was in the merchant
marine from Norway having a very rough life. This is working
very hard on my three year old who loves her "papa" and can't
figure out why he wouldn't want to see her ever again. Please,
please Jesus restores our family as my heart is breaking apart
in pain from this and I am seeking your face for solution.

Thank God for changing Bino's mind who is now thinking twice
with his friends who are influential on buying drinks many a time.
Lord make me your tool to help him find a good job. Thanks for
all your prayers. God answer your prayers too. Not even one
prayer posted by me here has gone unanswered. Believe and
thou shalt be healed.
(A., 1/19/2008 11:25:49 AM)
Request all you to pray for my family's generational healing.
May all curses vanish, may souls in purgatory speed fast to
heavenly glory, may the evil spirit of envy, lust, blasphemy,
deceit, heresy, unfaithfulness, hatred, dishonesty leave my
blood untouched. May the all-time assistance of Mother Mary,
St. Joseph, St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Stephen,
St. Anthony of Padua, St. Jude and Sebastian be always with
me my blood and the whole of Chembanal family. May all my
forefathers rest in peace. Forgive us and their sins Oh Lord
forever. Thank you very much.
(A., India, 1/19/2008 11:13:14 AM)
I am asking for prayer that Chris, my son in law, would return
to the Catholic Faith, have his youngest son Marcos baptized
and allow the older son, Mateo, to have religious instruction
and his 1st communion.
(V.R., VA, United States, 1/19/2008 9:17:15 AM)
Lord, I am praying for a very long time to get this job that was
offered to me. Please post the job vacancy announcement very
soon so that I may get hired as soon as possible. Amen
(C., 1/18/2008 10:54:41 PM)
21 year old Pria has thyroid cancer~ Please stand in faith for
complete healing. Pray today. Recovering from surgery last
Monday. Please email this for prayer. Love, Lori Please pray
for my grandchildren.
(W. , Ms., 1/18/2008 10:37:30 PM)
Please pray for the emotional healing of my family for
generational healing and a return to the Sacraments for
husband, son, daughter and their families who are broken in
so many ways. I am thankful for all the many blessings Our
Father bestows, that my granddaughter is able to remain in
school until the end of this school year, that my grandson is
passing and will graduate. I ask for strength and patience to
be supportive of those around me who walk their paths
instead of following Him. Thank you so much for your prayer
support. It is a blessing and a great help to me.

Pope Benedict XVI
Christians do not despair in difficulty but help those in need,
says the Pope
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11464
Vatican City, Jan 16, 2008 / 12:14 pm (CNA).-
Pope Benedict XVI today continued his catechesis on
St. Augustine, the fifth century saint whose writings express
a passion and deep love for God that have led countless
people reject despair and turn to help those in need.
The Holy Father, who is himself partial to St Augustine,
recalled the period in history just prior to St Augustine's
death when North Africa was beset by division and threatened
by Vandals.
After designating his successor as bishop of Hippo,
St. Augustine wanted to dedicate the last four years of his
life to a more intense study of Scripture.
In fact, Pope Benedict said, "The years that followed were
four years of extraordinary intellectual activity." Not only did
the aged Augustine finish some important works, but he
devoted himself to reconciling ......................

Pope Benedict XVI, Shepherd of Truth
Notable quotations from Pope Benedict XVI and official
teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
THE FAMILY AND PEACE
PEACE, JUSTICE AND LOVE
.. In a healthy family life we experience some of the
fundamental elements of peace: justice and love between
brothers and sisters, the role of authority expressed by
parents, loving concern for the members who are weaker
because of youth, sickness or old age, mutual help in the
necessities of life, readiness to accept others and, if
necessary, to forgive them.
"TEACHER OF PEACE"
.. The family is the first and indispensable teacher of peace.

Women's Retreat
As a woman, you are most precious to the Lord ~ come find
out more about receiving God's love and His deepest purpose
for your genuine femininity. "The dignity and the vocation of
women have gained exceptional prominence in recent years.
The hour is coming, in fact has come, when the vocation of
women is being acknowledged in its fullness, the hour in
which women acquire in the world an influence, an effect and
a power never hitherto achieved. That is why, at this moment
when the human race is undergoing so deep a transformation,
women imbued with a spirit of the Gospel can do so much to
aid humanity in not falling." – John Paul II, On the Dignity and
Vocation of Women
