God Bless you and all you care for.
The editor
April 12th Easter Sunday
Thank You, thank You Jesus, for giving us the right to someday come home
and spend eternity in heaven with the Triune God.
Jesus, You died that we might have life and have it fully.
Jesus, You rose to show us that there is an eternal life for all.
Your love is beyond all understanding and yet You, God, became one of us
in all things but sin.
Then Lord, You carried all the sins of mankind to the cross, so that we
could be free.
Thank You for all that You do and have done for us.
Thank You for continuing to love us, and helping us, and walking with us,
till the day we come home to You.
Amen and Amen
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body
This weeks readings and reflections
Sunday BECAUSE HE DID, I DO
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?d=4/12/2009
"Let us celebrate the feast not with the old yeast, that of corruption and
wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." —1
Corinthians 5:8
Alleluia! Jesus is risen! He's alive! Alleluia forever! "This is the day
the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it" (Ps 118:24).
On this greatest day of the year, Christians in every Catholic church in
the world are challenged to renew their baptismal promises. Renewing our
baptismal promises applies the reality of Jesus' life, death, and
resurrection to our personal lives now. The six proclamations of "I do" —
our response to the six questions of the baptismal promises — express the
greatest commitment a human being can make. All the hosts of heaven, all
the saints in heaven, and many saints on earth will witness the renewal of
our baptismal promises.
Satan himself will be well aware of our renouncing Him, all His works, and
all His empty promises. He will hate us for rejecting him and will seek
revenge if we give him an opportunity by falling into sin.
The renewal of our baptismal promises is our ultimate commitment, by which
we make the resurrection not only a past event but a present,
life-changing, world-transforming reality.

· Through the New Testament in Easter
http://presentationministries.com/brochures/NTEaster.asp
After Jesus rose from the dead, He spent the afternoon walking almost
seven miles with two disciples. On this walk, Jesus interpreted for them
every passage of the Scriptures which referred to Him (Lk 24:27). On the
evening of that first Easter Sunday, Jesus opened the apostles' minds to
the understanding of the Scriptures (Lk 24:45). Jesus made it clear from
the several hours He spent in the word on the first resurrection-day that
believing deeply in His resurrection and hearing God's word were
interrelated.
With this in mind, I invite you to read the whole New Testament in the
fifty-day Easter season. The Lord will give you the grace to be faithful
to this discipline. Ask and you shall receive (Mt 7:7). I suggest that you

THE SECRET OF FASTING
Fasting is limiting our intake of food in response to God's call and for
the building of His kingdom. Almost all the great men and women of God
throughout history have known a secret, the secret of fasting. They have
understood the power and the privilege of fasting. We cannot fast unless
we have God's permission. But when God permits us to fast, we have the
opportunity to be in the forefront of His work. We are honored to be
chosen to have such an important part in the Spirit's movement. Fasting is
a power, privilege, opportunity, and honor. But only those who know the
secret recognize this.
OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT FASTING
Throughout much of the Old Testament, there was only one fast day, the Day
of Atonement (Lev 16:29). Later, other fasts were called for either
because of a state of emergency or on the anniversary of a national
tragedy (Zech 7:3-4). Fasting was an attempt to end a terrible
circumstance.
In the new covenant, we fast in a different way, as after

(Anonymous, 4/11/2009 3:11:24 PM)
Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace
in men and women consecrated to Your service,* that they may perform
worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of
Mercy who is in heaven. Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the
company of chosen ones in Your vineyard -- upon the souls of priests and
religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love
of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your
power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of
salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages
without end. Amen. I ask Jesus forgiveness for my part in His Crucifixion.
I turn to His Mother Mary who agonized at witnessing what my part did to
Her Beloved Son…Mary, I am so sorry… please forgive me….

Pope Benedict XVI, Shepherd of Truth
Notable quotations from Pope Benedict XVI and official teachings of the
Roman Catholic Church
YOUTH AND HOPE
"ABOUND IN HOPE"
The main task for us all is that of a new evangelization aimed at helping
younger generations to rediscover the true face of God, Who is Love. To
you ... who are in search of a firm hope, I address the ... words that
Saint Paul wrote ...: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace
in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit."
PEOPLE OF HOPE
Prayer is the gift of the Spirit that makes us men and women of hope, and
our prayer keeps the world open to God ...
"WITNESSES TO THE RISEN CHRIST"
Follow the example of Paul and be witnesses to the Risen Christ! Make
Christ known...to those who are in search of "the great hope" that would
give meaning to their lives.
