This week, Jesus, we celebrate all saints, and all souls day.
Help us to truly pray for all people who are being totally purified and purged of effects
of sin in purgatory.
Help us to intercede with the saints who can go before You for all those souls.
Help us to totally realize that You are the true intercessor before the Father, but that
You want the saints, and us, to also intercede for the graces we all need to someday come
to You as unstained as possible.
Thank You for loving us eternally.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE MESSAGE, NOT THE MESSENGER

"We thank God constantly that in receiving His message from us you took it, not as the word
of men, but as it truly is, the word of God." -1 Thessalonians 2:13
As a teenager, I attended daily Masses said by Father O'Hare (not his real name). His style
rubbed me the wrong way; it was hard for me to concentrate on his homilies. God used him to
teach me to concentrate on the message, not the messenger (1 Thes 2:13). Here are some words
of God from various "disturbing" messengers over the years that have stayed with me:
- Sin is serious. Repent immediately.
- We Catholics have the greatest news ever. We need to share this news with everyone.
- "He Who has begun the good work in you will carry it through to completion" (Phil 1:6).
- You have to work for justice if you call yourself Christian.
- Jesus loves you passionately. Why can't you love Him?
- Here is how you wait on the Lord: "you just wait."
- The infant Jesus lies in a manger, a feeding trough. By this God shows us that Jesus is Food
for us (Jn 6:55).
- Teach the truth.
God uses all kinds of messengers to speak His words to us. He may speak His most profound
messages through the messenger we least want to hear. How about you? What words of God can
you list from messengers whose style you didn't care for? What messages of God are you
missing?

the liver which the doctors say it is inoperable due to the delicate position. Please pray

Loving Father, as I pray for my husband, I ask for your wisdom, strength, courage and faith
for me and our children to carry on living life to the fullest with the sorrows and the
joys that each day brings. You have a plan for his life, my life and the lives of our
children. May we continue to grow in faith and virtue knowing that all things work for good
for those who love the Lord. Mary our Mother, all you angels and saints pray for us, that

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the persecution I am going through at the hands of my husband.
Lord, you created him in your image and likeness and you know and love him. You have given
him to me as a life partner and father to my children. He is hurting inside so give him your
wisdom, your knowledge, your understanding to realise the harm he is doing to himself and to
the family. Open the eyes of his heart to see how he is harming me and himself and the
family with this unchristian behaviour. Lord lead him to the right person who will counsel
him and help him to set himself right before you and be reconciled with all who he has hurt.
I do love him and desire that he be saved. Mama Mary, all you angels and saints intercede
for him. Amen.

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
