August 9th 19th Sunday in ordinary time.
This week, oh! Christ, Your church celebrates the assumption
of the blessed virgin Mary into Your eternal kingdom.
Christ, what a fitting end to Mary's life that right after
death, she was assumed into Your heavenly kingdom, body
and soul.
Jesus, help us to have that love for Mary, our mother, that
You have.
Help us to intercede to her as a very strong mediator to You
for all the needs that we have.
Jesus, You gave us Mary as an example of what trust in You
can cause.
She was full of grace and love.
Jesus, continue to shower down on us some of that grace, so
that we can trust You all the days of our life.
Thank You for Your unending love.
Amen and Amen.
Thank you Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday HEART-BURN OR BURN-OUT?

Elijah "went a day's journey into the desert." -1 Kings 19:4
Many of you are quoting Elijah the prophet by gasping: "This is enough,
O Lord!" (1 Kgs 19:4) You can't stand the thought of going on with your
parish work, marriage, job, or even life. You want to roll over and
play dead. You are "burnt out." You are in good company because Elijah,
known for "playing with fire" (see Sir 48:1, 3), eventually became
"burnt out" himself.
God intervened by sending an angel to command Elijah to "get up and eat,
else the journey will be too long for you!" (1 Kgs 19:7) We also must
get up and eat or our ministry, marriage, or trial will be too long for
us. We must wake up and eat the daily bread of God's Word and Holy
Communion. "Not on bread alone is man to live but on every utterance
that comes from the mouth of God" (Mt 4:4). Unless we eat Jesus' flesh
and drink His blood, we have no life in us (Jn 6:53). Unless we accept
God's grace for much more daily prayer and Bible reading, we will find
life too long, fall into depression, and just "go through the motions."
Unless we celebrate Mass and receive Communion as often as possible
(even daily), we won't "have what it takes" to minister, parent,
evangelize, suffer, or love. We will "burn out" unless our hearts burn
in hearing God's Word and breaking His bread (see Lk 24:31-32).
Prayer: Father, may I obey You exactly in how much I pray.
Promise: "Do nothing to sadden the Holy Spirit with Whom you were sealed
against the day of redemption." -Eph 4:30
Praise: Praise You, Jesus, for giving me Sunday as an everlasting memorial
to Your resurrection from the dead.

My sister is suffering from severe thrombocytopenia (low platelets count)
since six months. She took many treatments & still taking but her
platelets count has not reached normal range and it has gone down to very
low range which is life threatening. Plz pray for her that she be
completely healed and be cured of this disease soon. Dr. told it may heal
off or it might be life long . Plz pray that she completely be healed &
platelets level be normal.

God is good.I am including that i will pray one rosary for my prayers
and the prayers of those whom i read and the ones i did not read. May

Seeking Gods forgiveness and strength to deal with life situations.
Praying for Gods favor among men, "the hearts of Kings are in the hand
of God and He directs them like watercourses, where ever it pleases Him",
this is my prayer in this moment of my endeavor to flourish in my
business and profession. Peace, blessings on my child,my wife,mom and
the rest of my family. That i may have the opportunity to provide as a
father,brother,son,nephew,grand son,uncle,friend and the rest of my
relatives the way i have done. Most importantly, the wisdom to deal with
life situations and the treachery in business.

Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
