August 21st, 21st Sunday in ordinary time.
This week, oh! Jesus, Your church celebrates the "Queenship of Mary".
Mary, our mother through out her life, was totally dedicated to the will of the father in raising
You and trusting Gods plan.
She, the sinless virgin, was most worthy of the honor that God bestowed on her when she
came into the eternal kingdom.
She is and should be honored and loved.
She is a tremendous help to everyone of us who still struggles with trusting You totally with
all of our life.
Thank You Jesus, for giving us Your mother.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday ARE YOU SAVED? ARE FEW SAVED?

"Lord, are they few in number who are to be saved?" -Luke 13:23
Jesus taught: "The gate that leads to damnation is wide, the road is clear, and many choose to
travel it. But how narrow is the gate that leads to life, how rough the road, and how few
there are who find it!" (Mt 7:13-14) Jesus seems to have said that only a few people are saved
from damnation. If this is a correct interpretation, our future is terrifying.
To make sure he was understanding Jesus correctly, "someone asked Him, 'Lord, are they few in
number who are to be saved?' " (Lk 13:23) Jesus did not answer that question exactly; instead,
He stated that many will try to come into His kingdom and be unable (Lk 13:24). Jesus also
declared that eating and drinking with Him and having heard His teachings do not assure us of
salvation (Lk 13:26-27). "Some who are last will be first and some who are first will be last"
(Lk 13:30).
How can we be saved? We are saved only by God's grace (Eph 2:7ff). What must we do to be
saved? (Acts 16:30) "Believe in the Lord Jesus" (Acts 16:31). Give Jesus your whole life and
"work with anxious concern to achieve your salvation" (Phil 2:12). Believe in Jesus, the
Savior, now.
Prayer: Father, deepen my faith as I hear Your Word (Rm 10:17).
Promise: "Make straight the paths you walk on, that your halting limbs may not be dislocated
but healed." -Heb 12:13
Praise: Praise Jesus, "the Way, and the Truth, and the Life" (Jn 14:6), "the Resurrection and
the Life" (Jn 11:25). Alleluia!

I am at my parents in a small town in Alabama west of Rome, Georgia. It is called Cedar Bluff.
It is 25 miles from Gadsden and around 100 from Birmingham. It gets lonely here sometimes even
when I am around my parents. They are 85 and I am 64 and single. Pray for me some friends in
the area that my parents live in. Pray for me a great rest of the weekend. Single and seeking
marriage. Also seeking better job. Pray God emotionally strengthens me

her of her addictions, depression promiscuity. Help her to make good Godly decisions and I
claim sound mind for her..Keep her safe and under your umbrella of protection....Help her Mom,
Debbie to be strong and consistent and set boundaries and curfews in dealing with Katarina
during this difficult time...Fill Debbie with your Wisdom, discernment and revelations ..the
courage to set boundaries and seek your guidance during this storm in her life....In Jesus

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 24 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.
