May 14, 2017 Fifth Sunday of Easter
Jesus, You are the way, the truth and the life, and only through You will we ever have peace
and joy in our hearts.
Lord, let us seek what is imperishable, and let us strive to be vessels of Yours, through
Adoration of You in Your Most Blessed Sacrament.
Let Your imperishable gift of Love fill us with true desire to serve You by serving others.
Let us seek to live in peace, by showing others the peace in our hearts, that we receive by
adoring You and spending quiet time in just sitting before You.
Let us come to the real knowledge that Your plan will work out, and all we have to do is be
open to be used by You as You need us.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday THE TEMPTATION TO DO GOOD

"This will permit us to concentrate on prayer and the ministry of the word." -Acts 6:4
There is no chaining the Word of God (2 Tm 2:9), but the messengers of God's Word can be
chained. We are often chained through sin, selfishness, or fear. However, we can be chained
in more subtle ways. For example, the devil tried to chain the apostles by making them think
they needed to cut back temporarily on prayer and the ministry of the Word to deal with a
disagreement in the early Church (Acts 6:2ff). He tempted them by encouraging them to do a
good and needed work. Moreover, the devil didn't tell them to completely quit their ministry
of the Word but only to cut back just for a little while. However, once we deviate even
slightly from our God-given call (even if we do it by performing good deeds), we are no
longer doing God's will. When we give an inch even for a moment, our inch turns into miles
which can last forever.
Therefore:
Do God's deeds, not good deeds.
Do nothing but His will.
Don't interrupt or postpone God's work. Do it now.
Don't let up at all in proclaiming His Word in season and out of season (2 Tm 4:2).
Prayer: Father, by Your grace I will live my vocation to the full.
Promise: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in Me." -Jn 14:1
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus, our Brother, for raising us to new life in You. Thanks be
to God!

Pray that God help me with my relationship with Nick. I messed things up. If it is God's
will that we be together Pray that God fix my mess. I ask God to forgive me for what I have
done. Pray that Nick call me so we can work things out. Pray for Nick as he lost his jobs.
Pray that he find a new job that pays more than both jobs. I believe God is in control and
that He works things out. Pray for God to give me strength as I wait upon Him.

Prayer for my son to take the desire of gambling out of his system and to help him get out
of debt and responsible with his money. Also prayer for my husband that lust be completely
removed from his sight and that our marriage can be healed. That we can show our
grandchildren a couple that Glorifies Jesus. Gods word says I will heal the broken hearted
and bind up all their wounds...I stand on that promise. Thank you Lord Amen

I ask for prayers for my 11 year old niece Hannah who has cancer. May Jesus the Shepard,
have mercy and hear my prayer that my niece recovers completely. Please give strength,
courage and comfort to Hannah and her family as they fight this wretched illness she does
not deserve. May they find the finical resources required so they can continue the
treatments to fight the cancer so she can have a complete recovery. Jesus says if you ask
anything in My name I will do - I ask this in Jesus' name - Amen - Thank you.

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 26 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.
