WHERE THERE'S HIS WILL, THERE'S HIS WAY

"It is the will of Him Who sent Me that I should lose nothing of what He has given Me." -John 6:39

Jesus' food was to do His Father's will (Jn 4:34). Jesus taught us to pray for His Father's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:10). Jesus even promised: "Whoever does the will of My heavenly Father is brother and sister and mother to Me" (Mt 12:50). Jesus insisted that only those who do the Father's will can enter His kingdom (Mt 7:21).

In the agony before His death, Jesus prayed to His Father: "Not My will, but Yours be done" (Mt 26:39, our transl). Jesus said to His Father: "I have come to do Your will" (Heb 10:9). "By this 'will,' we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Heb 10:10). "This is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life" (Jn 6:40).

Make an act of the will always to unite your will to Jesus' will and thereby be united to the Father's will forever.

Prayer: Father, I come to do Your will (see Heb 10:9). "To do Your will, O my God, is my delight, and Your law is within my heart!" (Ps 40:9)

Promise: "There were many who had unclean spirits, which came out shrieking loudly. Many others were paralytics or cripples, and these were cured." -Acts 8:7

Praise: Martin overcame drug addiction by abandoning himself daily to the mercy and providence of Jesus.
