July 7th Fourteenth Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, the year is half done, so help us to inventory our prayer time, and help us know if we are
really spending enough time with You.
Let us look and see if our prayers are, "give me", or are they giving You praise and glory.
Jesus, You are the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, let us be in awe of having the privledge of
being able to talk and praise You face to face in Your Eucharistic presense.
Jesus, protect and guide us all safely home to You, when You call.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday HOME COOKIN'

"On entering any house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' " -Luke 10:5
Jesus ministered in the temple and synagogue, on the mountain and at the lake, on the streets and in
the desert. However, He chose none of these places to be the base for world evangelism. The chosen
place for the ministry of Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be, the home.
The home is where it's at in God's plan of salvation. The large church building exists to serve the
home-church and not vice versa. The home has priority. Dioceses, educational institutions, and
international ministries are valid structures only insofar as they serve the church of the home.
For the first three hundred years of Christianity, every church was in a home. The Lord wanted to
establish a home-centered Christianity. Insofar as we remember our roots in the home-church, we will
see fulfillment of the Lord's Scriptural promises and world evangelism. If we forget our roots and
our homes, we will surely fail.
Since the home is the basic structure and the very fabric of Christian life, Christianity is only as
strong as its homes. We must restore the home as the center of Christian life. Seek the Spirit's
guidance, take radical measures, make any sacrifices necessary to make your home a church-home. It's
that important.
Prayer: "I kneel before the Father from Whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name...
May He strengthen you inwardly through the working of His Spirit" (Eph 3:14-16).
Promise: "Oh, that you may suck fully of the milk of her comfort." -Is 66:11
Praise: Praise the risen Jesus, Whose love will never end! Alleluia!

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 27 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.

END HUNGER

The poor expect from us an effective help that takes them out of their misery... In this twenty-first
century that has seen considerable advances in the field of technology, science, communications and
infrastructure, we ought to feel shame for not having achieved the same advances in humanity and
solidarity, and so satisfy the primary needs of the most disadvantaged.
"WE MUST DO BETTER"
We are all called to go further. We can and we must do better for the helpless. We must move to
concrete action, so that the scourge of hunger disappears completely.
WE CAN DO IT
We do indeed have the adequate means and framework so that beautiful words and good wishes may become
an action plan of substance that leads effectively to the eradication of hunger in our world. To this
end we need joint efforts, upright hearts, and persistent concern to firmly and resolutely make the
other's problems one's own.
