PM eNewsletter Ascension of the Lord

May 8th Ascension of the Lord

This week, Jesus, we celebrate Your ascension into heaven.

Christ, You told us that You would be with us always and that You would send us the
paraclete, Your Holy Spirit.

Please Jesus, as You are now in heaven, sitting at the right hand of the Father, continue
to intercede for us and continue to shower down upon us Your graces, that we may live and
love in, to and through You.

Let Your spirit fill us with love, joy and peace.

Let us all be amazed at the continued love that You shower down upon us.

Let us all ask that Your spirit come and renew us.

Let us all do the novena to the Holy Spirit, that we will all be renewed.

Amen and Amen.

Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body

This weeks readings and reflections

Sunday BLESSED ARE YOU
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?lang=en&d=5/8/2016

"As He blessed, He left them, and was taken up to heaven." -Luke 24:51

Jesus ascended in "mid-blessing." The apostles responded by "blessing God"
(Lk 24:53, our transl). These are the final words of Luke's Gospel. The last word for
Luke is that the ascended Christ is blessing us for which we are blessing Him. "When
He ascended on high, He...gave gifts to men" (Eph 4:8; see Ps 68:19) "that He might
fill all men with His gifts" (Eph 4:10). When Jesus ascended, He fulfilled the
prophecy: "From this day, I will bless!" (Hg 2:19) Therefore, "bless the Lord, O my
soul; and all my being, bless His holy name" (Ps 103:1).

To receive the blessings of the ascended Christ, let us together devote ourselves to
constant prayer (Acts 1:14). Let us fervently pray the first of all novenas, the
Pentecost novena. Jesus will bless us with the Holy Spirit of blessing. "Within a few
days" we will be renewed in the power of the Spirit (Acts 1:5). Blessed are those who
worship the ascended Christ and pray for a new Pentecost. Blessed are those "baptized
with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:5). In the ascended Christ, be blessed, "be a blessing"
(Gn 12:2), and "bless the Lord at all times" (Ps 34:2).

Prayer: Father, bless me beyond anything I can imagine.

Promise: "May He enlighten your innermost vision that you may know the great hope to which
He has called you, the wealth of His glorious heritage to be distributed among the members
of the Church, and the immeasurable scope of His power in us who believe." -Eph 1:18-19

Praise: Praise the ascended and risen Lord Jesus, King of all heaven and earth! Alleluia!

"We have not so much as heard that there is a Holy Spirit." -Acts 19:2

Tuesday A FINISH THAT SHINES
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?lang=en&d=5/10/2016

"I put no value on my life if only I can finish my race and complete the service to which
I have been assigned by the Lord Jesus." -Acts 20:24

Fear is useless. LORD please look kindly on the petitions posted and all the requests

mothers tomorrow in our prayers. JESUS may we not forget your mother tomorrow. Hail
Mary....

Angels. Protect her from any breakdown, flat tires, bad traffic, bad weather, any

Tomorrow we celebrate Mother's Day and I would like to extend my Love and gratitude to
my Heavenly Mother Mary for being with me through this earthly journey. Thank You Dear
Blessed Mother Mary, I Love YOU! To all women who have chosen the vocation of
Motherhood, God Bless you all and Have a Happy and Blessed Mother's Day!
(Ken, Texas, , 5/7/2016 8:11:30 PM)

Lord, our daughter is mad at us. We were put in a position of having to choose and we
chose to help the weaker one. She has nothing to do with us. She has changed phone
numbers so we can't call her or the kids. Our hearts are so broken. Life is not the
same and I'm beginning to get bitter. I don't want to be like that but I've tried
emailing, texting, calling and no response. The grandchildren are afraid to speak to
us when we see them at church or just out anywhere. I did everything for my daughter.
I did without so she could have everything. I took care of all her children year round
for almost 20 years. Now that the youngest doesn't need watching over, she decides she
doesn't need us anymore. Please Father have mercy on us and her and the children.
Break this silence and help us become a family again. Please...In Jesus name I pray.

Pope Francis, Shepherd of Truth

Notable quotations from Pope Francis and official teachings of the Roman Catholic Church

GOD'S MERCY

DON'T WASTE TIME

Let us not waste this ... favorable ... time for conversion! We ask this through the
maternal intercession of the Virgin Mary, who encountering the greatness of God's mercy
freely bestowed upon her, was the first to acknowledge her lowliness (cf. Lk 1:48) and
to call herself the Lord's humble servant (cf. Lk 1:38).

EXPERIENCE FIRST HAND

The mercy of God is a proclamation made to the world, a proclamation which each
Christian is called to experience at first hand.

MYSTERY OF GOD'S MERCY

The mystery of divine mercy is revealed in the history of the covenant between God and
His people Israel. God shows Himself ever rich in mercy, ever ready to treat His people
with deep tenderness and compassion ...
