October 22nd 29th Sunday in ordinary time.
Jesus, once again You have given us a saint that we can try to be like in our love for You.
St. Anthony Claret, Bishop of Cuba, was a man whose heart was on fire and filled with the
Holy Spirit.
He lived his life in such a way that all saw You through him.
Jesus, inflame our hearts and fill us with Your spirit, that we may do great things in
ordinary ways.
Let Your spirit guide us, and use us, to be a messenger of Your love.
Let us all realize that we have been called to each be a missionary in this darkened world,
a light to draw others to You, and a guide to bring our fallen away Catholics, back to Your
most blessed gift of Your Body and Blood Your sacraments of love.
Thank you Jesus for the Eucharist.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

Sunday LIVING THE HARD LIFE

"Grace and peace be yours." -1 Thessalonians 1:1
First Thessalonians is probably the earliest book of the New Testament. Therefore, it has
special significance. To better understand these words of St. Paul, we must understand his
life. Paul described his life in the following way: "...with my many more labors and
imprisonments, with far worse beatings and frequent brushes with death. Five times at the
hands of the Jews I received forty lashes less one; three times I was beaten with rods; I
was stoned once, shipwrecked three times; I passed a day and a night on the sea. I
traveled continually, endangered by floods, robbers, my own people, the Gentiles;
imperiled in the city, in the desert, at sea, by false brothers; enduring labor, hardship,
many sleepless nights; in hunger and thirst and frequent fastings, in cold and nakedness.
Leaving other sufferings unmentioned, there is that daily tension pressing on me, my
anxiety for all the churches" (2 Cor 11:23-28).
Paul suffered greatly in his life for Christ. Paul had a very hard life. However, it made
him better rather than bitter because he belonged "to God the Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ" (1 Thes 1:1). Despite his extreme sufferings, Paul did not see his life as a series
of cruel tragedies but as grace upon grace (see 1 Thes 1:1). When Paul looked at people,
especially Christians, he kept thanking God for all of them and remembering them in his
prayers (1 Thes 1:2). Although Paul was treated inhumanely, he loved life and people,
because he loved Jesus. Live and love accordingly, especially if your life is hard.
Prayer: Father, work together all things for the good of those who love You (see Rm 8:28).
Promise: "...opening doors before him and leaving the gates unbarred." -Is 45:1
Praise: Praise Jesus, the risen Savior and Lord! Praise Jesus, Redeemer, Messiah, and King!

Prayer for a loving husband and companion; a loving, financially secure; mentally,
emotionally, physically and physiologically healthy; and mature gentleman. I am so alone,
no loved ones, no one to care, to call. I actually live to work that is the only place I
feel cared for and appreciated. It hurts during holidays, vacation, weekends; because
there isn't anyone. I do have friends, they are far away and have their own lives -tried
to use Internet matching sites; however, only seem to meet folks who have not been honest,
or mature and ready for relationships. I seek friendship, companionship, love, honesty,
security and a supportive partner. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Fear is useless. LORD please look kindly on the petitions posted and all the requests said
silently in our hearts. Thank you for this opportunity to pray with others for all our
needs. Through you all is possible. Only through You LORD can the possible become the
possible. The bible tells us, You are present when we join in prayer. The bible tells us,
You want us to ask. LORD guide me to become closer to You and all of us to be closer to

Bible Telephone Line
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 26 years. Begun by Fr. Al in 1991, it now
continues with one deacon of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and two lay teachers trained by
Presentation Ministries. The BTL provides callers with a short teaching on the readings for the
daily Mass. It is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer
request which will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day on a separate line.
