// compassion day // On May 15, join the Australian Christian Channel and Christian radio stations around Australia for a national media event. The goal: to see 1500 children sponsored – the most ever in one day. On Compassion Day we will be airing two special Compassion features. Long Road to Redemption follows one man on his journey to visit his sponsor child in Haiti. A Prevailing Hope shows how the gift of hope is transforming a port-side slum in Brazil. His life and legacy continue to impact people's lives around the world. Liddell is most often remembered as he was represented in the award winning film 'Chariots of Fire'. An Olympic athlete who refused to run on Sundays. Follow Liddell's life from Olympic glory to the mission fields of China, and finally to a Japanese internment camp during World War II.
