October 14th 28th Sunday in ordinary time.
This week, Lord, You showed us Your most precious Sacred Heart
by appearing to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.
You told us to adore You by meditating on Your heart of love,
and by having Your heart displayed prominently in our homes.
Please Lord, help all people to realize what a blessing it is
to be able to look at Your Sacred Heart, and see the fire of
love, the crown of thorns, and the blood of forgiveness,
coming from Your heart.
Let us feel the peace of Your love, and help us to get the
continued graces that we need to face all the challenges
of life.
Amen and Amen.
Thanks to You, Lord, for loving us totally.

I "deemed riches nothing in comparison with [Wisdom]." -Wisdom 7:8
"You cannot give yourself to God and money" (Mt 6:24). Although few admit it,
money is God's greatest competition, that thing which we are most tempted to
put ahead of God. "The love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Tm 6:10).
Money is the means to pleasure and a life of self-satisfaction. Money
facilitates worship of self. Consequently, many young rich men and women
continue to walk sadly away from Jesus (Mk 10:22).
Like Judas, many commonly sell Jesus for a few pieces of silver (Mt 26:15) or
even for the petty pleasures that money can buy. For example, Esau sold out
for just a bowl of red soup (Gn 25:30-34).
"How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!" (Mk 10:23) It all
comes down to God or money, lifestyle, and self. We must consider "riches
nothing in comparison" with God (Wis 7:8) and consider God's word "more
precious than thousands of gold and silver pieces" (Ps 119:72). We must "put
aside everything to follow" Jesus (Mk 10:28).
Prayer: Prayer: Jesus, I choose You over riches and pleasure.
Promise: "God's word is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword.
It penetrates and divides soul and spirit." -Heb 4:12
Praise: Praise Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life! (Jn 11:25) Praise Him
always and forever. Alleluia!

Heavenly father thank you for all the blessings,please guide us by your Holy spirit as we

We unite our prayer on day 18 of the 40 Days For Life campaign and in addition to pray for
the upcoming elections in the U.S. with all the rosaries, masses, novena and time before
the Blessed Sacrament said in the U.S. and around the world. As we begin this year of
Faith, let us pray for an increase in Faith for U.S. Mother, now that the need is at its
greatest and the powers of darkness seem to have free rein, we come to You with childlike
trust and implore Your powerful aid. We consecrate ourselves to You. Preserve us in the
love of Your Son, protect us from the evil of this world and lead us safe to the heart of
God. Amen O Victorious Lady, Thou who has ever such powerful influence with Thy Divine Son,
in conquering the hardest of hearts, intercede for those for whom we pray, that their
hearts being softened by the rays of Divine Grace, they may return to the unity of the
true Faith, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Father for the problem that just cropped up...the one that can cause a family rucus...
please take care of that so no one will be hurt or humilated. And the little one who is
being so stubborn...I hope he see's the possible heartache that he could be inflicting on
someones heart. Please Father I must put this into Your Hands because only You can stop
heartache. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

New Technology for Bible Telephone Line Ministry
Local Numbers Double Practically Overnight!
The Bible Telephone Line (BTL) has been in operation for 19 years. Begun by Fr. Al
in 1991, it now continues with three teachers trained by him and by Presentation
Ministries. In cities where local numbers have been established, the BTL provides
callers with a short teaching on the readings for the daily Mass. It is available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. Callers may also leave a short prayer request which
will be shared on the line with the other callers the next day.
