January 15th, The second Sunday in ordinary time
Jesus, now that the new year has settled in, and all the celebrating is over, let us realize that in
You we always have the celebration of the mass to look forward to.
Let us make the mass a time of praise and prayer, a time of adoration and oneness with You.
Let us see in the breaking of the bread a love that we really can't understand, but yet it is real.
Let us partake of the food of life, that feeds us, and prepares us for the never ending mass of eternity.
Thank You for Your love.
Amen and Amen.
Thank You Lord, for loving us totally.

One Bread, One Body
This weeks readings and reflections
Sunday THE WOMB
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?lang=en&d=1/15/2017
"Look! There is the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world!" -John 1:29
God's Servant was formed from the womb (Is 49:5). The Lord "knitted" us in our mothers' wombs
(see Ps 139:13). From our mothers' wombs, the Lord gave us our names (see Is 49:1). The Lord is
working with children in the womb both physically and spiritually.
This means:
- We should pray for and with children in the womb.
- Pregnant mothers should receive Holy Communion, and their babies in the womb will share in
those Communions.
- We should pray and fast to protect children in the womb from abortion (see The Gospel of Life,
Pope St. John Paul II, 100).
- We should invite parents who have aborted their children to come to Jesus to receive
forgiveness and healing.
- We should ask aborted babies to pray for us.
- Most of all, we must invite everyone to give their lives totally to Jesus, the Way, the Truth,
and the Life (Jn 14:6). Jesus is our only Savior, Lord, and Hope.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to die if necessary to save the lives of children in the wombs.
Promise: "It is He Who is to baptize with the Holy Spirit." -Jn 1:33
Praise: Praise You, risen Jesus, the Lamb of God, the Way, the Truth, the Life, Savior, Lord,
Hope, and God. We lay our lives before You. Alleluia!
Monday PATCH-WORK
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?lang=en&d=1/16/2017
"No one sews a patch of unshrunken cloth on an old cloak." -Mark 2:21
Tuesday TIE THE KNOT
http://presentationministries.com/obob/obob.asp?lang=en&d=1/17/2017
"Like a sure and firm anchor, that hope extends beyond the veil through which Jesus, our
Forerunner, has entered on our behalf." -Hebrews 6:19-20

PM Internet Prayer Requests
http://www.presentationministries.com/prayer/prayer.asp
Dear Family in Christ, I am asking for prayers for myself. I had a stroke in June 2016. It was
mild, I have regained use of right side of body, and speech. I still feel rather shaky. Now I
have the flu that is going around, and I also have been tempted to smoke again. Smoking is what
caused the stroke. Pray please that I get well, conquer urge to smoke and not end up with
another stroke. Thank you to all pray warriors in advance, Suzanne
(Suzanne, Buena Park, CA, United States, 1/14/2017 3:03:21 PM)
Please pray that Debbie has the strength to leave her abusive boyfriend soon.
(Chery, New Jersey, United States, 1/14/2017 2:42:33 PM)
I pray for working class saints (transformed sinners), whose struggle is real.

For the financial blessing we need to pay our bills and help our daughter EB, please. Thank
You, Lord, and thanks to all the prayer warriors here. We are grateful for every penny we have
received.

Pope Francis, Shepherd of Truth
http://presentationministries.com/pope/fst2017-01.asp?navlink=latest
Notable quotations from Pope Francis and official teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
THE SICK AND SUFFERING
OPPORTUNITY TO REFLECT
... The ... World Day of the Sick (Feb. 11) ... is an opportunity to reflect ... on the needs
of the sick and ... of all those who suffer. It is also an occasion for those who generously
assist the sick, beginning with family members, health workers and volunteers, to give thanks
for their God-given vocation of accompanying our infirm brothers and sisters.
RENEWED ENERGY
This celebration likewise gives the Church renewed spiritual energy for carrying out ever more
fully that fundamental part of her mission which includes serving the poor, the infirm, the
suffering, the outcast and the marginalized...
CLOSE TO YOU
I express my closeness to all of you, our suffering brothers and sisters, and to your families,
as well as my appreciation for all those in different roles of service and in healthcare
institutions ...
(Message for 2017 World Day of the Sick, dated 12/18/2016)
